The present experiment used 15 melon germplasm resources as materials,the fruit rind color and softening quality traits,ethylene product and the activity of the enzymes associated with ethylene synthesis in the process of ripening of different melon germplasm resources were measured.At the same time,fruit aroma components at mature stage the climacteric type and aroma differences of 15 melon germplasm resoureces were analyzed and clarified in this experiment.The main results are as follows:1.In this experiment,There were significant changes from green to yellow in the ssp.agrestis subspecies x006,x018,x026,x059 and the ssp.melo subspecies x115 and x120 during the growth and development period,and there was no obvious change in the fruit rind color in the rest melon resources during fruit growth and development period.The fruit rind color of mature fruits of various materials has significant difference.There were no significant differences in firmness and PG enzyme activity between the various germplasm resources during fruit growth and development.2.The climacteric type melon,the ethylene product gradually increases with the growth and development of the fruit and has an obvious peak.Non-climacteric type melon,the ethylene product is low and there is no obvious peak in the whole fruit development period.Fruit of x001,x005,x006,x009,x013,x018,x026,x059 which belong to the ssp.agrestis subspecies melon and fruit of x115,x120,x154,m4-71 which belong to the ssp.melo subspecies melon are climacteric type melons;x084 and x093(ssp.melo)subspecies melon and x044(ssp.agrestis)subspecies melon are non-climacteric type melons.3.The content and types of aroma compounds in various germplasm resources of melon mature fruits were determined in this experiment.Relative content of esters was higher than that of other compounds in the mature fruits of climacteric type of ssp.agrestis subspecies germplasm resources.The relative content of aldehyde was the highest non-climacteric melon germplasm resources fruit.
