Plant phenotype refers to the physical, physiological and biochemical characteristics that can reflect the information of plant cells, tissues, organs, plant structure and functions, which is of great significance to the study of plant ecology and genes. The development of plant phenotyping,to a large extent, highlights the necessity of detecting individual physiological information of plants. As the phenotypic information that can reflect the participation of water in plant physiological activities, the accurate measurement of sap flow in different time and space is very important for the analysis of plant health status, nutrient transport in vivo and even plant ecology. In the current sap flow detection method, due to the disadvantages of traditional methods, such as cumbersome installation, damage to plants, and high cost,it’s hard to reach the long-term monitoring of sap flow under the premise of low cost, high efficiency, and plant physiological friendliness. This paper designs a wearable sap flow sensor by drawing on advanced technologies such as sensor design, processing, and packaging in the field of flexible electronics, and the detection range of the sensor is 11-392 μ L / min.The sensor has the physical characteristics of light, thin, waterproof, transparent and breathable, which can be well attached to the stalk of the plant and can monitor the internal sap flow rate for a long time;At the sam time, the sensor has excellent tensile properties and can maintain normal operation under the premise of stretching to150% of the original length. In addition, the sensor in this paper also has excellent biocompatibility, which solves the problem of biological rejection reaction from traditional methods. At last, this paper develops a Bluetooth based sensor control system and Android application to achieve sensor remote control and real-time display of results.
