In order to explore the restoration effect of different measures in Xilamuren desert steppe,three typical restoration measures,including enclosure restoration,different water gradient irrigation and degraded grassland artificial shrubbery,were selected in this thesis,In order to grasp the advantages,disadvantages and feasibility of vegetation restoration measures in the experimental area,and provide theoretical basis and technical support for reasonable restoration of degraded grassland.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)From the top to the bottom of the slope,aboveground biomass,height and coverage increased significantly.Compared with the control,the structure and quantitative characteristics of the grass group in the enclosed plot were significantly better than those in the unsealed plot.Leymus chinensis and Stipa klemenzii were the dominant species in the enclosed plot.The typical degraded vegetation in the control plot was Artemisia frigida,Salsola collina and Convolvulus ammannii.Compared with the control,the soil properties improved significantly,the relative contents of silt and clay increased,the soil bulk density decreased significantly,and the soil nutrient content increased.(2)Under different irrigation conditions,there are significant differences in soil water content and water storage in the study area.The soil water content and water storage in the irrigated area are significantly higher than those in the non irrigated area,especially in different periods.The seedling stage after returning to green in May,the middle of July and the first and middle of August are the key periods for plant growth,and sufficient irrigation should be ensured.The plant biomass,height and coverage of irrigated area were higher than those of non irrigated area,and the plant growth index of basic irrigated area was better than that of suitable irrigated area.Irrigation can increase the proportion of silt and clay,reduce bulk density and increase porosity,and increase soil nutrient content.(3)In the process of artificial shrub experiment,soil physical and chemical properties were significantly improved under shrub and irrigation conditions,soil clay and silt content were higher than the control group,soil nutrient conditions were significantly better than the control group.Under the same conditions,the growth indexes of the three plants in the irrigated area were significantly better than those in the non irrigated area.The sensitivity of the three plants to water is Hippophae rhamnoides > Caragana microphylla > Ceratoides latens.Ceratoides has strong drought resistance characteristics.The comprehensive growth status and utilization value of Hippophae rhamnoides and Ceratoides latens should be selected as extension species in this region.
