husbandry.Curcumin compounds,as an important active ingredient in turmeric, have physiological functions such as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.This experiment took medium-speed yellow feather broilers as the research object, explored the effects of curcumin and bis-demethoxycurcumin on the quality of yellow feather broiler chickens, and explored the principle of action in terms of antioxidant properties.A total of 672 28-day-old,mediumspeed yellow feather broiler hens of similar size were selected. They were randomly divided into 7 groups according to their body weights, with 6 replicates per treatment and 16 chickens per replicate. They were fed with curcumin at 0,50,100,and 200 mg/kg and bisdemethoxycurcumin at 50,100,and 200 mg/kg,respectively.Research indicates:1.The addition of curcumin in the diet has no significant effect on the daily feed intake, daily weight gain and feed weight ratio of broilers in each test group of 28-42 days of age,but the addition of 200 mg/kg of bis-demethoxycurcumin Significantly reduced the average daily feed intake(P<0.05).Adding 100 mg/kg of curcumin to the diet significantly reduced the average daily feed intake of medium-speed yellow feather broilers for 42-56 days of age(P<0.05).56-70 days old: Compared with the control group and the test group with 50mg/kg curcumin, the addition of 100mg/kg curcumin significantly reduced the average daily feed intake and average daily weight gain of the middle-speed yellow feather broilers in the later period.(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the addition of 50mg/kg and 100mg/kg of bis-demethoxycurcumin significantly reduced the average daily weight gain of medium-speed yellow feather broilers in the later period(P<0.05).28-70 days old: Adding 100mg/kg of curcumin to the broiler diet significantly reduced the average daily feed intake and average daily weight gain of medium-speed yellow feather broilers during the whole period(P<0.05),and the feed-to-weight ratio There was a downward trend;the addition of 100 mg/kg of bisdemethoxycurcumin significantly reduced the average daily intake compared with the control group(P<0.05).2.Curcumin and bis-demethoxycurcumin can improve the quality of meat and chicken.Adding 50mg/kg and 100mg/kg curcumin significantly increased the p H value of the chest muscle of 56-day-old yellow feather broilers for 45 min(P<0.05);adding 200mg/kg curcumin significantly reduced the percentage of pectoral muscle fat(P<0.05),Significantly reduced the fat rate of leg muscles(P<0.01).The addition of 200 mg/kg of bis-demethoxycurcumin has a tendency to increase the flesh redness and yellowness of the breast muscle of 56-day-old yellow feather broilers at 45 minutes, and after 24 hours, this effect still shows signs of maintenance. For leg muscles, adding 200 mg/kg of bis-demethoxycurcumin can improve the flesh redness of the pectoral muscles at 45 min and 24 h;at 45 min after slaughter, there was no significant difference in the p H value of each group, but after 24 h,adding bis-demethoxy curcumin The PH value of the experimental group was generally higher than that of the control group;the addition of 200mg/kg of bis-demethoxycurcumin significantly reduced the fat percentage of the leg muscles(P<0.01).Adding 100mg/kg of curcumin can significantly improve the meat color redness of the chest muscle of 70-day-old yellow feather chickens for 45min(P<0.05),and the effect continues after 24h;adding 200mg/kg of curcumin can significantly improve the pectoral muscle At a p H of 45 min(P<0.05),the addition of 200 mg/kg of bis-demethoxycurcumin significantly reduced the rate of abdominal fat(P<0.05),and significantly reduced the rate of leg muscle fat(P<0.01).The addition of 200mg/kg of bis-demethoxycurcumin significantly increased the chest muscle 45 min PH and 45 min flesh yellowness of 70-day-old yellow feather broilers(P<0.05),and significantly improved the hydraulic power of the pectoralis muscle system(P<0.05),but each group There was no significant difference in drip loss between the two;adding 200 mg/kg of bis-demethoxycurcumin significantly reduced the percentage of abdominal fat(P<0.05),and extremely significantly reduced the percentage of leg muscle fat(P<0.01).3.Curcumin and bis-demethoxycurcumin can improve the antioxidant activity of the body.Adding 50mg/kg bis-demethoxycurcumin can significantly increase the content of superoxide dismutase in serum of 42-day-old yellow feather broilers(P<0.05);adding 100mg/kg and200mg/kg bis-demethoxycurcumin Significantly increased the content of superoxide dismutase in serum(P<0.01).Adding 200mg/kg of curcumin and 50mg/kg of bis-demethoxycurcumin can significantly reduce the content of malondialdehyde in the serum of 56-day-old yellow feather broilers(P<0.05);adding 100mg/kg and 200mg/kg Bis-demethoxycurcumin significantly improved the total antioxidant capacity of serum(P<0.05);adding 50mg/kg and 200mg/kg of bisdemethoxycurcumin greatly improved the glutathione peroxidation in serum Enzyme activity(P<0.01),adding 100 mg/kg of bis-demethoxycurcumin significantly increased the activity of glutathione peroxidase in serum(P<0.05).Adding 100mg/kg and 200mg/kg curcumin significantly reduced the content of malondialdehyde in the serum of 70-day-old yellow feather broilers(P<0.01);adding100mg/kg curcumin significantly increased the total antioxidant in the serum The ability(P<0.01)significantly increased the content of superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase in the serum of medium-speed yellow feather broilers(P<0.05).Adding 200mg/kg of bis-demethoxycurcumin significantly reduced the content of malondialdehyde in the serum of 70-day-old yellow feather broilers(P<0.01);adding 100mg/kg of bis-demethoxycurcumin significantly increased the serum Total antioxidant capacity(P<0.05);adding 200mg/kg and100mg/kg of bis-demethoxycurcumin significantly increased the content of superoxide dismutase in serum(P<0.05);adding 200mg/kg and 100mg/kg The bis-demethoxycurcumin significantly increased the content of glutathione peroxidase in serum(P<0.01).In summary, this study shows that:(1)Curcumin and bis-demethoxycurcumin can effectively improve the production performance of medium-speed yellow feather broilers and improve the quality of meat and chicken meat.Factors related to improving antioxidant properties.(2)The addition level of curcumin in broiler diets should be 200mg/kg,and bisdemethoxycurcumin 200mg/kg.(3)In terms of antioxidant capacity,bis-demethoxycurcumin has stronger antioxidant capacity than curcumin. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | curcumin, dimethoxy curcumin, growth performance, meat quality, Antioxidant
