Study On Plant Diversity,Protection And Utilization In Laoshan Forest Region Of Shaanxi Province

Located in the hilly and gully region of the Loess Plateau,the Laoshan Forest Re gion of Shaanxi Province is not only an important ecological interlacing area for the tr ansition from the forest steppe to the steppe vegetation,but also an area where the for est ecosystem of the Loess Plateau of Shaanxi Province is the most intact and rich in b iological diversity.Through investigation,identification and analysis of plant specime ns,the diversity of plant geographical components and the quantitative characteristics of resource plants in this region were studied in order to provide data support for biodi versity conservation and resource utilization.The main results are as follows:(1)There are 718 species of plants in this area,which belong to 360 genera and 97 families.Among them,gymnosperms belong to 2 families,4 genera and 6 species;95 families,356 genera and 712 species of angiosperm;Among angiosperms,dicotyled onous plants belong to 276 genera and 550 species,monocotyledonous plants belong t o 276 genera and 162 species.(2)The dominant families of the flora in this area are eight families,accounting f or 8.25% of the total families.There were 3 families,accounting for 3.1% of the total families.Nineteen genera were dominant,accounting for 5.51% of the total genera,an d eleven genera were characterized,accounting for 3.09% of the total genera.(3)There are 4 categories and 8 subcategories of plant life forms in this area,whi ch are evergreen and deciduous arbors and shrubs,perennial,biennial and annual herb s and vines,among which herbs are dominant;Trees and shrubs are mostly deciduous species,and vines are less.(4)There are 19 species of protected plants in this area,belonging to 16 genera a nd 10 families.Among them,there are only 1 species of gymnosperms and 18 species of covered plants,belonging to 15 genera and 9 families.From the protection level,th ere are 4 species of rare and endangered plants,belonging to 4 genera and 4 families;14 species of wild plants,belonging to 13 genera,7 families;There are 7 species of lo cal protected plants in Shaanxi,which belong to 7 genera and 3 families.(5)There are 238 species of resources plants in this area,including 45 species of s tarch and sugar,23 species of fiber plants,12 species of aromatic plants,24 species of ta nning plants,35 species of oil plants,15 species of resin,gum and rubber plants,2speci es of host plants of economic insects and 82 species of medicinal plants.
