Effects Of Soil Loosening And Fertilization On Characteridtics Of Plant Communities And Soil In Degraded Meadow Steppe In Xilingol

Based on the different degrees of grassland degradation of Inner Mongolia meadow grassland caused by grazing in xiwuzhumuqin banner,Xilin Gol Grassland,we set up control plot(CK)and three treatments : application of organic fertilizer(OF);soil loosening(SP);soil loosening + application of organic fertilize(SP+OF),We measured plant community characteristics,species diversity,functional traits of dominant species,soil physical and chemical properties and enzyme activities from late July to early August every year from 2017 to 2020.Besides,we analyzed the effects of different measures on the plant community and soil of degraded meadow grasslands to explore the effects of different measures on the restoration of degraded meadow grasslands.The main results are as follows:1.SP+OF treatment benefited to the recovery and improvement of community height,density,and above-ground biomass.2.SP+OF treatment can significantly increase the proportion of high-quality forage grass and reduce species diversity in the short term,which is beneficial to the restoration of rhizome grass.3.SP+OF treatment is beneficial to the recovery of the dominant species in the community.SP and OF can greatly improve the basic functional properties of Leymus chinensis,but had little impact on other dominant species.4.SP,OF,SP+OF these three measures are all beneficial to the improvement of soil physical and chemical characteristics to a certain extent.SP treatment can increase soil surface water content,soil organic carbon and soil total phosphorus;OF treatment can increase soil carbon,nitrogen and phosphorus content by 10-40 cm;SP+OF treatment can significantly increase soil nutrient content.5.SP and OF can significantly increase the activity of various soil enzymes,and fertilization has the best effect on increasing catalase activity.Soil enzyme activity has different degrees of correlation with soil C/N ratio,nitrate nitrogen,total phosphorus,and total organic carbon content.
