Livelihood Vulnerability Assessment Of Herdsmen Under Tourism Development

Recent years,thanks to putting tourism as first stage and strategic pillar industry,the tourist quantity and income got sustainable growth.It modernized the economy.But the herdsmen life exposed the vulnerability because of their values,tradition and internal and external pressure of tourism during social transformation and livelihood changes.These issues affected sustainable development.Taking herdsmen in Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture as the research object according to the research orientation of livelihood vulnerability evaluation,this paper constructed a exposure sensitivity adaptability framework,which was full of regional characteristics characteristics.Divided by the herdsmen situation in Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture under the influence of tourism,this paper made a detailed description to the concept definition,parameter meaning and assignment of each dimension index.Based on the data of direct observation,questionnaire and in-depth interview,this paper evaluated the herdsmen life vulnerability from qualitative and quantitative perspectives by using maximum deviation method and compared the differences between herdsmen tourism and differences between vulnerability of herdsmen in different life cycle,then the paper put regulation and strategy.The results show that:1.Under the influence of tourism the herdsmen livelihood vulnerability index was0.074 in Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture two communities.The reasons that caused higher exposure were the loss of public health and social security events in the natural risk and decrease of income in the material risk.The reasons that caused higher sensitivity were employment pressure and the number of tourists under the market pressure.The reasons that made lower adaptability were that the quantity of self owned livestock in material capital and the degree of livelihood diversity in the diversity of livelihood.2.Langmusi was in stalled development stage,their vulnerability index is 0.114,Labuleng was in stable development stage,their vulnerability index is 0.037.Both of them has livelihood vulnerability,but the livelihood vulnerability in stalled development herdsmen is more vulnerable than stable herdsmen.3.Traditional herdsmen,their vulnerability index was 0.082,herdsmen with tourism,their vulnerability index was 0.065.Both of them had vulnerability problem,but the traditional herdsmen was higher than herdsmen with tourism.4.From the results of significance test,there were significant differences in several parameters of livelihood vulnerability of herdsmen in different life cycle stages and different livelihood types.
