Zhang Yuandi is a well-known expert in fisheries education in Tianjin.He had served as a principal in Hebei Fisheries College and Tianjin Third Middle School,and developed unique thoughts of fisheries education in some educational practices.Zhang Yuandi’s thoughts of fisheries education have rich connotations.This thesis summarizes Zhang Yuandi’s thoughts of fisheries education by literature method and historical research method,and reveals its characteristics and limitations,which provides some enlightenment for the reform and development of vocational education.There are three main chapters in the thesis.The first chapter introduces Zhang Yuandi’s life and main educational activities.Chapter two summarizes Zhang Yuandi’s thoughts of fisheries education from the five aspects: the purpose and function of fisheries education,the management of the fisheries school,the fisheries education targets,the contents of fisheries education and the teaching method of fisheries education.The purpose and function of fisheries education are cultivating fisheries professionals,awakening the awareness of sea power and promote economical development.The management of the fisheries’ school focuses on the investment of education,the admissions and graduation,the combination of teaching,practice and research.The fisheries education targets include students of the fisheries school,fishermen and their children and ordinary people.The teaching methods of fisheries education are teaching and practice method,practice method and visiting teaching method.Chapter three evaluates thoughts of fisheries education.It is characterized by patriotism,considering national conditions and local conditions,emphasizing sea power consciousness education,emphasizing all-round development of students and giving priority to physical education,complementing educational and uneducated education,integrating fisheries education with fisheries publishing.Limitations include strengthening the function of education and exaggerating the status of fisheries education,and the discourse of thoughts of fisheries education is not complete.
