Research on the biological characteristics and nutritional components of 15 Cerasus humilis varieties was conducted based on the experimental materials consisting of the Cerasus humilis varieties planted in Horticultural Experimental Station of College of Horticultural Science and Technology, namely,Cerasus humilis varieties in Taihang Mountains and Cerasus humilis varieties in Yanshan Mountains.Indicators of Cerasus humilis varieties, such as the leaf traits, branch traits, fruit traits and fruit nutrients, were investigated, determined and analyzed, and the differences among Cerasus humilis varieties were clarified. The comprehensive scoring and sorting were carried out and the results are as follows:(1)Among different Cerasus humilis varieties, the petiole length was the trait with the largest variation coefficient of leaf traits. The variation coefficient of petiole length of Cerasus humilis varieties in Taihang Mountains was between 16% and 35%,and the petiole lengths of these Cerasus humilis varieties were significantly different. The variation coefficient of petiole length of Cerasus humilis varieties in Yanshan Mountains was greater than or equal to 35%,and the differences of petiole length of these Cerasus humilis varieties were extremely significant. All these indicated that the petiole length of different Cerasus humilis varieties was significantly different or extremely significant, the stability of this trait was not high and the phenotype was easy to change.(2)Among different Cerasus humilis varieties, branch traits,of which the variation coefficient was less than or equal to 15%,were represented by the branch length and the maximum branch carrying capacity, indicating that the individual differences in branch length and maximum branch carrying capacity of different Cerasus humilis varieties were not significant.Branch traits,of which the variation coefficient was between 16% and 35%,included branch diameter, revealing that there were significant individual differences in branch diameter among different Cerasus humilis varieties, the stability of this trait was not high, and the phenotype was easy to change.(3)Among different Cerasus humilis varieties, fruit traits,of which the variation coefficient was less than or equal to 15%,were represented by fruit shape index, fruit surface color, fruit stalk length, fruit stalk diameter and pH,demonstrating that differences in these fruit traits of different Cerasus humilis varieties were not significant, the traits were stable, and the phenotype was not easy to change.Fruit traits,of which the variation coefficient was between 16% and 35%,included the fruit weight, which indicated that there were significant differences in fruit weight among different Cerasus humilis varieties, the stability of this trait was not high, and the phenotype was easy to change.(4)Among different Cerasus humilis varieties, fruit nutrients,of which the variation coefficient was less than or equal to 15%,included the Vc content, revealing that the difference of Vc content between the two Cerasus humilis varieties was not significant.Fruit nutrients,of which the variation coefficient was greater than or equal to 35%,included the citric acid content, which indicated that there were significant differences in the citric acid content among different Cerasus humilis varieties, the stability of this trait was not high, and the phenotype was easy to change.(5)Principal component analysis method was adopted to determine the fruit quality of 15 Cerasus humilis varieties. These varieties were sorted according to their fruit quality,namely,TL6 > TL7 > TL9 > TL15 > TL3 > TL1 > TL8 > TL4 > TL5 >TL2 > TL12 > TL10 > TL13 > TL11.Therefore,it can be concluded that the fruit quality of TL6 is the best, while the fruit quality of TL11 is relatively poor.
