With the development of society,the demand for energy is increasing,and energy consumption and ecological environment protection also need to be well coordinated.As a country with energy shortage and serious ecological environment pollution,development of bio-energy is an urgent choice for China.As a typical agricultural city in the north China,Handan has rapid economic development,a large rural population,and a large output of agricultural appendages.It has market demand and space for marsh gas development.Marsh gas,as an important form of bioenergy and biogas,has received government support in recent years.According to the scale,common marsh gas includes three types:household marsh gas,large-medium scale marsh gas and super large scale marsh gas.In recent years,Handan’s large-medium scale marsh gas and super large scale marsh gas projects have developed rapidly under the support of the government.Based on the study of the current status and development history of marsh gas production and usage in Linzhang County and Ci County,and also based on the analysis of the economic benefits,ecological benefits and social benefits of marsh gas projects of three different scales in Handan,this study provides reference for local development of marsh gas industry.The data in this study is mainly collected from the relevant departments of Linzhang and Cixian marsh gas production management,large-medium scale and super large scale marsh gas engineering companies,and village marsh gas users,and consulted relevant professionals from the government and enterprise departments,collected relevant data in recent years,and issued questionnaires.In addition,we compared soil samples and tested the impact of marsh gas on soil physical and chemical properties.The main findings are as follows:1.10 cubic meters of household marsh gas developed rapidly from 2000 to 2013,and the development showed a downward trend after 2013.Random questionnaire survey found that the main reason was the low enthusiasm of farmers,insufficient fermentation raw materials,lack of follow-up technical support,and high maintenance costs.However,the 800-10,000 cubic meters of large-medium scale marsh gas and super-large scale marsh gas have obvious advantages over the household marsh gas,and generate considerable annual profits and develop relatively rapidly.2.The study showed that the main sources of economic benefits are the sale of marsh gas,the sale electricity generated from marsh gas and the sale of marsh gas fertilizer;the large-medium scale marsh gas has highest gas generation efficiency(about 286m~3per year),and the household marsh gas has the lowest gas generation efficiency(about 60m~3per year).Household marsh gas has very low economic benefits,while large-medium scale marsh gas projects could generate about 600,000 yuan annual profit,and super large scale marsh gas could produce about 14 million yuan annual profit.3.In terms of ecological benefits,the survey was carried out from three aspects:air pollution,manure pollution,and maintenance of soil physical and chemical properties.We compared the effect on reduction of harmful gases by different scale marsh gas project.We also studied the impact of marsh gas fertilizer on soil bulk density and porosity,as well as nitrogen,phosphorus,potassium and organic matter content,and analyzed the role of marsh gas in ecological environment and social benefits.
