Cherry tomato leaf axil is easy to produce lateral branches,and lateral branches grow faster,easy to blossom and fruit.Pruning methods affect fruit commodity,nutritional quality,yield and economic benefits.In the traditional cultivation and management of cherry tomato,the main method of pruning is single stem,and the pruning time is after planting slow seedlings.However,there is no systematic report on pruning in seedling stage,and the pruning method is multi stem.Therefore,it is of great scientific significance and application prospect to study the effects of pruning methods at Seedling Stage on the growth and development,photosynthetic capacity and fruit commodity of cherry tomato.The experiment was conducted in Agricultural Science Training Base of Ningxia University and Research and Development Zone of Ningxia Helan Horticulture Industrial Park from July 2019 to August 2020.In the first part of this project,the effects of pruning at Seedling Stage on the growth and development of cherry tomato plug seedlings were studied by measuring and analyzing the growth and development characteristics and physiological indexes of plug seedlings.The second part of this project observed the canopy light interception and leaf fluorescence characteristics of cherry tomato population,in order to analyze the yield formation mechanism of Cherry Tomato under different pruning conditions from the perspective of the combination of population photosynthesis and single leaf fluorescence,and explore the pruning method which is conducive to high yield and low-cost cultivation of cherry tomato.The third part of the research content,through the investigation of fruit phenotypic traits,determination of growth indicators,nutritional quality and yield,the effects of pruning methods and the number of remaining ears on cherry tomato commodity,nutritional quality and yield were analyzed,and the best pruning methods and the number of remaining ears were explored.The fourth part of the research content through the investigation of fruit phenotypic traits and growth period,determination of its nutritional quality and final yield,combined with principal component analysis,analysis of variance and other statistical methods,from the perspective of commodity,nutritional quality,growth period and yield,the formation mechanism of cherry tomato fruit comprehensive quality under different pruning methods was analyzed It provides theoretical and technical basis for the promotion of pruning technology of cherry tomato.The results are as follows:(1)Effect of Different Pruning Patterns on Plug Seedling Growth of Cherry Tomaoto at the Seeding StageAll the results indicate that the best growth condition was the three-bar pruning.Two-bar pruning or four-bar pruning were not a better condition to the plug seedlings,because its photosynthesis impacted by too many or too few leaves.The dry matter content,stem diameter and seedling index of 50 cells plug trays were higher,while the seedlings grown in 72 cells plug trays are easy to grow leggy seedlings.The height,stem diameter,leaf length,chlorophyll content and root activity index of seedlings were higher than the other two sowing dates,which plug seedlings sown on July 28.Above all,the best combination of pruning patterns on plug seedlings growth of cherry tomato at the seeding stage is A3B1C3,sow in the July 28,50 cells plug trays,three-bar pruning.(2)Effect of pruning patterns on canopy light interception characteristics and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters in cherry tomatoIn terms of colony canopy photosynthetically active radiation,the plant IPAR and CaR of three-bar pruning treatment was significantly higher than other treatments,PeR was on the contrary.In terms of leaf photosynthetic fluorescence characteristics,chlorophyll fluorescence parameters(Fv/Fm,qP)have different degrees of improvement than other treatments.At the same time,plants growth indices,canopy microenvironment and yield of three-bar pruning treatment was significantly higher than other treatments,and the yield per mu could reach 3615.35 kg/667m2.It can be seen that three-bar pruning is the most beneficial to form a reasonable individual configuration and population space arrangement,so as to improve the photosynthesis,growth status and yield of cherry tomato.(3)Effects of pruning patterns and ear number on commodity and yield of Cherry TomatoIn terms of growth index,the stem diameter of C3D2 treatment was the largest,followed by C3D1,the plant height of CK treatment was the highest,followed by c3d1,indicating that the plant growth of C3D1 and C3D2 treatment was better.In terms of commodity,C3D1 treatment was the best,followed by C3D2 treatment.In terms of fruit nutritional quality,the treatment with the first panicle was better than that without the first panicle.And the nutritional quality of C3D1 treatment was better than other treatments.In terms of yield,C3D1 treatment had the highest yield(2977.97 kg/667m2).In conclusion,The comprehensive character of C3D1 is the best,the three rod pruning method is most conducive to the protected cultivation under the experimental conditions,and the first ear fruit retaining method is conducive to the accumulation of tomato nutritional quality and the improvement of tomato yield.(4)Effects of different pruning patterns on fruit commodity,nutritional quality and yield of cherry tomatoThe effect of pruning patterns on the commodity of cherry tomato was significant,and the comprehensive score of commodity of five-bar pruning treatment was higher than other treatments.The content of Vc(27.26 mg/100g)in five-bar pruning was significantly higher than other treatments,and the sucrose content(1.78 mg/g)increased in different degrees compared with other treatments.At the same time,the yield per mu of five-bar pruning treatment(5789.85 kg/667m2)was the highest,which was significantly different from that under one-bar pruning treatment.It can be seen that five-bar pruning is more conducive to improve fruit commodity,accumulate nutritional quality ingredients and increase yield.
