| Both Brucellosis and Tuberculosis pose a great threat to the health of dairy cows worldwide.Brucellosis-caused Brucella mainly invades the reproductive system,causing abortion and infertility.Tuberculosis-caused Mycobacterium can cause coughing and emaciation in dairy cows,and tuberculous nodules can be formed in the lesion site.At the same time,they are all zoonotic disease pathogens and do great harm to people.It is of great significance to strengthen the monitoring and prevention of Brucellosis and Tuberculosis in dairy cattle breeding and public health.In order to understand the epidemic situation of Brucellosis and Tuberculosis in dairy cows in Suining County,Jiangsu province,in this study,we selected some dairy cows from 7 large-scale dairy farms in Suining County from the period 2018 to 2020 to carry out the experimental study.6963 samples were investigated by Rose Bengal Plate Agglutination Test(RBPT),Serum Agglutination Test(SAT)and Competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay(cELISA)for the epidemiology of Brucellosis;Tuberculin Purified Protein Derivative(PPD)test and Tuberculosis-Interferon Gamma Release Assay(TB-IGRA)were used to investigate the epidemiology of Tuberculosis in 1971 samples.At the same time,we made the comparative test by using the detection method,a kind of new fast test methods(under patent application)in our lab for Brucellosis detection,and helped to develop more economical and practical detection methods for Brucellosis.The results showed that the positive rate of Brucellosis in Suining County showed a downward trend from the period 2018 to 2020,but the situation was still severe.The positive rate of Brucellosis was the highest in dairy farms with less than 500 heads,which was 8.36%(51/610);the positive rate of Brucellosis in dairy farms with 500-1000 heads was in the middle,which was 0.93%(6/643);the positive rate of Brucellosis in dairy farms with more than 1000 heads was the lowest,which was 0.11%(6/5665).The comparison of Brucellosis detection rate between the three methods shows that RBPT(13.38%,21/157)>cELISA(11.67%,18/157)>SAT(10.19%,16/157).From 2018 to 2020,Suining County has a high Tuberculosis infection rate in dairy cows,which has threatened the development of dairy industry and public health safety;only the positive rate of Tuberculosis in dairy farms with more than 1000 cows is 0(0/1132),and the positive rate of other dairy farms is generally high.The comparison of Tuberculosis detection rate between the two methods shows that TB-IGRA(26.67%,16/60)>PPD test(20.00%,12/60).Though the comparative test between cELISA and new agglutination test,It is found that the new test method is convenient,quick,specific and sensitive,which is very beneficial to the basic animal quarantine department and breeding farm.In 2017,the monitoring work of Brucellosis and Tuberculosis of dairy cows was carried out in D cattle farm.From 121 samples,23 cows were detected and determined to have Tuberculosis,and 25 cows suffered from Brucellosis.In order to help the farm continue the breeding work better and maintain the healthy development of the dairy industry in Suining County,the detection and cull policy for Tuberculosis in D cattle farm has been carried out since 2018.Through the comprehensive eradication measures such as environmental improvement,scientific feeding and fine management,the positive rate of the cow Brucellosis and Tuberculosis in 2020 is 0(0/126),Achieved remarkable results.Optimize fermentation bed breeding technology through application experiments to reduce the growth of pathogenic bacteria,and the intelligent supervision system of dairy farm can early warn the health status of dairy cows,which is of great help to the prevention and control of Brucellosis and Tuberculosis of dairy cows.The comprehensive prevention and control measures were deepened according to the demonstration results highlight the importance of improving feeding methods and strengthening intelligent supervision. |
