Juglans regia is a group of plants belonging to the genus Juglans and the type of the family of Juglandaceae.Juglans regia,an economic plant, has been widely cultivated with the largest planting areas among all dried fruit species in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region by far, which has become the major primary agriculture industry in the south of this region. However, due to the inappropriate water distribution,as well as the improper and indiscriminate fertilizing, the poor fruit trees management and control of the water-fertilizer in Xinjiang Basin lead to the fluctuation in yield and quality of Juglans regia fruits.Water fertilizing plays a vital role in the output and quality of Juglans. Therefore, the key to solving the relative problems in south Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on water supply fertilizer management is to determine the relations between a proper irrigation amount and suitable fertilization parameters for the improvement corresponding Juglans yield and quality. The paper analyzed the net photosynthetic rate, yield and quality of Juglans leaves through the coupling experiments of water-fertilizing for Juglans regia‘Wen 185’,and established the regression equation of water and fertilizer effect for‘Wen 185’Juglans by multiple linear stepwise regression method. The regression equation was tested, and the parameters of irrigation amount and fertilizer amount were solved through comprehensive decision by mathematical programming. The main findings are as follows:(1)The regression equation fitting between water and fertilizer and net photosynthetic rate effect showed that when the amount of fertilizer was less than 8.33 kg/plant and the amount of irrigation was less than 4.58 m~3/plant,the net photosynthetic rate of Juglans’leaves had a positive effect.(2)The regression equation demonstrates that when the fertilizer amount was less than 7.50 kg/plant and the irrigation amount was less than 5.78 m~3/plant,there was a positive effect on the yield of Juglans per plant.(3)The regression equation illustrates that when the amount of fertilizer was less than 6.58 kg/plant and the amount of irrigation was less than 4.72 m~3/plant,there was a positive effect on the single fruit weight;when the fertilizer amount was less than 8.00 kg/plant and the irrigation amount was less than3.66 m~3/plant,there was a positive effect on the kernel yield of walnut;when the fertilizer amount was less than 3.25 kg/plant and the irrigation amount was less than 8.50 m~3/plant,there was a positive effect on the oil content of Juglans kernel;when the fertilizer amount was less than 10.00 kg/plant and the irrigation amount was less than 1.72 m~3/plant,there was a positive relation on the soluble protein content of Juglans regia kernel.(4)Through the comprehensive decision of the above water and fertilizer effect equations, the overall optimal water and fertilizer parameters in the growth period of Juglans regia‘Wen 185’production were as follows:irrigation amount(W)4.20 m~3/plant,irrigation amount(462.00 m~3/667 m~3),fertilizer amount(F,practical amount)7.78 kg/plant.
