The red-necked longhorn beetle,Aromia bungii Faldermann(Coleoptera:Cerambycidae),is a major wood-borer pest.A.bungii larvae often harms the xylem of peach, apricot, cherry and many other stone fruit trees, resulting in tree vigor weakening or death and posing a serious threat to fruit production in China. In order to alleviate the problems of resistance to insecticides and environmental pollution caused by traditional chemical control,we systematically investigated the occurrence regularity of A.bungii in peach orchards in Shunping of Hebei province using sweet and sour liquid traps, and explored the key factors affecting the trapping effect. The biological control measures of Beauveria bassiana,Metarhizium anisopliae,Scleroderma guani and Dastarcus helophoroides were compared and analyzed. The main results are as follows:1.The damage degree of A.bungii was different in different age and variety peach orchards. The 20-25 year old peach orchards suffered the most serious damage, with an average damage rate of 93.63%.The "Lvhuajiu" peach orchards suffered the most serious damage, with an average damage rate of 69%.2.Investigations with sweet and sour liquid traps found that the occurrences of A.bungii in different peach orchards in Shunping were similar, occurrence period was both from the end of June to the beginning of August, and the peak appeared in the middle and early July, and its occurrence amount was related to the varieties. It was found that the activity time of A.bungii adults was concentrated from 16:00 to 19:00,with 4.25 in trapping.3.It has been discovered the trapping effect of sweet and sour liquor on A.bungii could be affected by the hanging position. When the traps hanging in the transparent and ventilated place, the number of A.bungii trapped on one day was 19,which was most. However, the fermentation rate, evaporation capacity and rain shelter device had no significant effect on the trapping effect of sweet and sour liquor.4.The effects of S.guani and D.helophoroides to parasitic on the larvae of A.bungii was studied under field conditions. The results showed that the parasitism of S.guani and D.helophoroides could effectively control the larvae of A.bungii, and the rates of population decline were 81.97%and 90.26%,respectively.And the emergence rate of adults was 42.46%,17.09%and 9.43%,respectively;Spraying 3%thiacloprid microcapsule suspension 1000 times had the best control effect, and the corrected mortality could reach 86.21%after 24 hours.5.The control effect of B.bassiana on the larvae of A.bungii was studied in laboratory. It was found that the higher the concentration of spore suspension, the better the control effect of B.bassiana on larvae. When the spore suspension was 104/mL,105/mL,106/mL,107/mL,108/mL,109/mL,the corrected infection rates after 15 days were 37.78%,36.67%,66.67%,78.89%,91.11%and 94.44%respectively.The control effect of B.bassiana on different head width larvae of A.bungii was different. The corrected infection rates of head width 1.5~2.5mm and head width 2.5~3.5mm instar larvae were 75.00%and 78.33%,respectively,which was significantly higher than that of the 1st instar larvae(49.44%).6.The control effect of M.anisopliae on adults of A.bungii was studied in laboratory. The results showed that the A.bungii adults died with crawling contact, eating, crawling contact and eating M.anisopliae after 21 d,20 d,13 d,and the death rate of A.bungii adults in crawling contact and eating M,anisopliae was significantly higher than that of single contact or consumption.7.The control effect of thiacloprid on adult A.bungii showed that the control effect of 1000 times concentration of thiacloprid was the best, and the control effect reached 86.21%after 24 hours.8.Based on the above experimental results, the green control methods of A.bungii were formulated as follows:(1)System monitoring:monitoring and forecasting of A.bungii adults was carried out using the sugar and vinegar liquid system to guide the production and control accurately.(2)Physical barrier:before the emergence of adults in June, the trunk net was used to block the adults from flying out and reduce the number of A.bungii.(3)Sweet and sour liquid trapping and killing:during the period of adult occurrence from June to August, sweet and sour liquid traps were hung at the light and ventilated places to trap and kill the adults.(4)Release of natural enemies:release the S.guani(August to September)and D.helophoroides(April to May)and other natural enemies.(5)Insecticide pesticides:B.bassiana and M.anisopliae and Thiacloprid.
