QTL Detection Of Three Important Agronomic Traits In Brassica Napus

Abstract/Summary:
Brassica napus is one of the important economic crops and oil crops.In rapeseed production,the genetic improvement of 1000-grain weight,oil content and plant height traits is of great value.In this study,144 inbred lines in B.napus were used as the test population called NAUCB in two years to obtain the phenotypic performances of the three traits including 1000-seed weight,oil content and plant height.The population was also genotyped using a 60 K SNP chip.Then,the QTL detection of the three traits was performed based on genome-wide association study(GWAS)methods,and the candidate genes for the QTLs were predicted.Main results are as follows.(1)QTL detection of 1000-seed weight trait:The average of 1000-seed weight trait of the NAUCB population was 4.5 ±0.63 g and 4.8±0.63 g in 2017 and 2018,respectively.The variation among the genetic materials in the population was significant.The heritability was 73.49%.Based on the two-year phenotype(BLUP)and SNP genotypes,GWAS for this trait was analyzed.And these generated a total of 24 QTLs by MLM-Q+K and RTM-GWAS methods.Candidate genes for several QTLs were predicted.(2)QTL detection of Oil content trait:The average of oil percent trait of the used population was 43.2±3.04%and 39.7±2.31%in 2017 and 2018,respectively.The variation among the genetic materials in the population was significant.The heritability was 64.15%.Based on the two-year phenotype(BLUP)and SNP genotypes,GWAS for this trait was analyzed.And these generated a total of 24 QTLs by GLM-PCA and RTM-GWAS methods.Candidate genes for several QTLs were predicted.(3)QTL detection of Plant height trait:The average of plant height trait of the used population was 172.7±24.03 cm and 157.1 ± 17.74 cm in 2017 and 2018,respectively.The variation among the genetic materials in the population was significant.The heritability was 69.05%.Based on the two-year phenotype(BLUP)and SNP genotypes,GWAS for this trait was analyzed.And these generated a total of 48 QTLs by MLM-Q+K and RTM-GWAS methods.Candidate genes for several QTLs were predicted.
