Picea mongolica is a unique rare tree species in China,with only 30000 mu of natural forest remaining.It is mainly distributed in Baiyin OBO nature reserve,Keshiketeng Banner,Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.Picea mongolica is an excellent tree species for sand control and afforestation in arid and semi-arid areas.In recent years,it has been found that the regeneration of Picea mongolica is difficult,the litter is thick and not easy to decompose,and the stand structure is single.However,there are few studies on the regeneration characteristics and natural regeneration factors of Picea mongolica forest.Therefore,based on the biological and ecological characteristics of Picea mongolica,this paper takes Picea mongolica forest of different community types as the research object,uses the forestry and ecological principles,combined with field investigation,data analysis and biodiversity index evaluation and other methods to study and analyze the natural regeneration of Picea mongolica forest,so as to scientifically protect and reasonably manage natural Picea mongolica resources and promote the development of Picea mongolica forest Sustainable development,promote the construction of ecological barrier in northern China.The main results are as follows.1.Regeneration characteristics of difierent community types of Picea mongolica forest:the regeneration ability of Picea platyphylla forest community is the strongest,followed by Riparian spruce forest community,and weed spruce forest community is the worst.2.Preservation characteristics of natural regeneration seedlings in Picea mongolica forest:the regeneration seedlings are mainly distributed between 2-4 years old,accounting for more than 50%of the total regeneration seedlings.The regeneration seedlings of 4-7 years old die and decline greatly,and few of them can grow into big trees.3.According to the statistical analysis of diameter class structure division of Picea mongolica forest,the distribution of regeneration trees was the most in the range of diameter class structure of 5-10 cm,followed by 10-15 cm structure,and the distribution of regeneration trees above 20 cm decreased gradually.4.Biodiversity of different community types of Picea mongolica forest:the relationship of tree layer biodiversity index under different community types was Betula platyphylla forest>riparian spruce forest>weed spruce forest;the relationship of herb biodiversity index was weed spruce forest>Betula platyphylla forest>riparian spruce forest;the vertical structure biodiversity relationship of sand spruce forest was Tree Layer>understory>herb layer.
