In piggery,scraping cleaner is mostly used.By analyzing the structure of scraping cleaner,and the research content or research method of manure cleaning equipment,The discrete element method is proposed as the core research method in this paper.Combining the idea of discrete element method,the structure optimization of scraping cleaner was carried out by using discrete element method simulation and experimental research to reduce the working resistance of scraping cleaner,raise its stability and lifetime,and improve the energy utilization efficiency of power units.In this paper,the discrete element parameters of pig manuer were optimized and calibrated,these parameters can also be applied to other manure treatment equipment.For instence,the study on the simulation of high temperature and rapid fermentation equipment for livestock and poultry excrement,and simulation study on drying condition and movement track of pig manure in the research of organic fertilizer drying equipment.This paper provided a research idea and discrete element parameter basis for the research of manure treatment equipment.The main conclusions of this research concluded following 4 points.(1)Parameter calibration of pig manure based on discrete element method with JKR contact model.Taking the Angle of Repose(Ao R)as the evaluation index and adopting the method of optimization calibration,the quadratic polynomial regression model between the Ao R and discrete element parameters of pig manure were established,and the relevant discrete element parameters of pig manure particles can be predicted according to the regression model.(2)Set up a test bed for measuring the resistance of scraping cleaner.In order to verify whether the optimized and calibrated discrete element model of pig manure can replace the real pig manure for simulation research,a test bed for measure the resistance of pig manure to scraping cleaner was set up.(3)Experiment on determining resistance of pig manure to scraping cleaner in the manure cleaning process.The experiment was carried out on the test bed to determine the resistance of the pig manure to scraping cleaner.The average resistance of pig manure to scraping cleaner was measured to be 111.52 N.Through EDEM,the experiment was simulated,and the simulated average resistance of pig manure model to the model of scraping cleaner was 112.55 N.Comparing the relative error between actual and simulated values,the relative error is 0.92%.The result shows that the optimized discrete element model of pig manure could replace the real pig manure for simulation research.(4)Study on mechanical properties of scraping cleaner in pig house based on discrete element method.Taking the inclination angle of the scraper and the running velocity of the scraping cleaner as the factors,and taking the average resistance value of pig manure to the scraping cleaner in the manure cleaning process and stability of the resistance of pig manure to the scraping cleaner in the manure cleaning process as evaluation index.Combined with central composite circumscribed design and EDEM discrete element simulation to study the mechanical properties of scraping cleaner.Compared with the experimental results in(3),the average resistance of pig manure to scraping cleaner decreased by 27.5% after the optimization of the average resistance,and the resistance stability of pig manure to the scraping cleaner increased by 94.7% after the optimization of the resistance stability.
