With the complete map of the dog’s genome,it is found that not only the number of dogs and human genes is similar,but also the degree of similarity between the genomes is higher than that of animals such as mice and rabbits.Dogs have more than 360 genetic diseases and human similar.Therefore,as a test animal,dogs are urgently needed in many fields such as biomedicine.It has been reported that in the 5-12 month reproductive cycle of dogs,there is a quiescent period of ovaries of 3-10 months.This particular physiological and reproductive nature of canines has seriously affected the development of scientific research activities using dogs as the carrier of research and the development of the dog breeding industryIn order to solve the problem and meet the market demand,the assisted reproductive technology of dogs came into being,including the induction of estrus of dogs.This technology can make the female dog’s ovaries no longer at rest and enter estrus,thereby effectively shortening the estrus interval,achieving early mating,and increasing the chance of pregnancy.This is of great significance for improving the reproduction rate of high-quality dogs(such as Beagle dogs)and promoting the development of canine embryo bioengineering.One of the development trends of surgical operation in the 21st century is minimally invasive.This is the pursuit of human medicine and the ideal of veterinary medicine.Laparoscopic surgery is one of the most important methods for minimally invasive surgery.Because of its characteristics such as small surgical trauma,rapid postoperative recovery,less infection,less complications,and less damage to internal organs,it is widely used in the field of animal diagnosis and treatment and reproduction.In the field of breeding,the research on cattle,sheep,pigs and so on is relatively deep,but it is rarely involved in the field of assisted reproductive technology of dogs and embryo bioengineering.Only in 2007 Dong Junyan and Xie Weidong compared laparoscopic observation and laparotomy,and found The laparoscopic observation method takes less time,less damage to the test dog,and faster recovery from surgery.Therefore,it is imperative to combine laparoscopic technology with canine assisted reproduction technology and canine embryo bioengineering.This test is mainly divided into two parts.One is the test of estrus induced by exogenous hormone PMSG combined with hCG,and the other is laparoscopic observation of ovarian changes,follicular growth and ovulation to identify estrus.In the non-estrus season(June),7 healthy non-estrus bitches were selected and divided into two groups.The hormone used in the first group is the combination of pregnant horse serum gonadotropin(PMSG)and human chorionic gonadotropin(hCG)to induce estrus in female dogs.The second group did not use any hormones and injected normal saline at the corresponding time as a blank control group.Observe the mental status,external genital changes,appetite drinking water changes of each group of experimental animals,and observe the development of follicles and ovulation through laparoscopy to determine the estrus stage of the bi tch length.A test dog was randomly selected in the first group,and pictures were taken on day 0(the day before PMSG injection),day 8,day 12,day 15,day 18,and day 21 respectively.The results showed that the use of PMSG combined with hCG to induce estrus was basically the same as the development of follicles under natural estrus,and the time of each stage of estrus was also about the same.The test results prove that PMSG combined with hCG can effectively stimulate the ovaries,so that follicles develop and ovulate.The bitch was tested by a male dog,proving that this method can successfully induce the bitch to estrus.The experiment applied laparoscopic technology to induced estrus in dogs,not only to identify estrus,but also to determine the specific time of ovulation,which laid the foundation for the further study of laparoscopic method of canine embryo transfer technology in order to apply it to production as soon as possible.
