| The red imported fire ant,Solenopsis invicta Buren,originating from the Parana river in South America,is one of the most dangerous invasive species and has caused damage to human being,ecosystem,agriculture and economy.The paper studies the hazard of red fire ants in Huidong County systematically.In order to explore the promotion and application effect of the unified prevention and control mode in controlling the spread of red fire ant.The management for the fire ant was summed up,and 5 problems were pointed out.Then puts forward the management measure to reply the invasion of red fire ants.The aim of the research is to provide scientific basis to survey,monitor,prevent and control work of red fire ants in Huidong.The main results are as follows:（1）According to the field survey data and statistieal information of red fire ants loimic area in Huidong.The red imported fire ant distributes sporadically all 16 towns（streets and resorts）under the jurisdiction of Huidong County.The density of red fire ant at each monitoring point in the county is 0.71 mounds per 100 square meters,120.23 individuals/bottles.The epidemic level of Huidong County red fire ant epidemic situation is at level 2 to 4.The survey also found that there were significant differences in the incidence of red fire ant in different geographical types and different habitat types in Huidong County,specifically in the area along the Xizhi River（0.87 mounds per 100 square meters,139.11 individuals per bottles）> coastal areas（0.65 mounds per 100 square meters,115.22 individuals/bottles）> mountainous areas（0.65 mounds per 100 square meters,112.15 individuals/bottles）.Habitat density of habitats in urban residential areas is the highest,the density has reach 1.27 mounds per 100 square meters,the wasteland habitat induces the largest number of red fire ant worker ants,the density has reach 256.75 individuals/bottles.（2）The present control situation and trend of infestation in Huidong were analyzed,and 5 problems towards the management for the fire ant were pointed out.The main results are as follows: first,the quarantine law enforcement is relatively weak;On the other hand,the red fire ant epidemic spreads risk and speed.Third,the regional linkage prevention and control is low.Fourth,the prevention and control work is less efficient;Fifth,the prevention and control strategy needs to be changed.（3）According to the study on ant population dynamics of the pilot practice of red fire ant prevention and control in Huidong County,it was found that the ant population in various habitats was efficiently controlled by the implementation of uniform application of chemical treatments in the same area,The red imported fire ant mortalities of three pilots were over 90%.The average moderate weight before control decreased to the first level.Based on the above analysis and discussion,drawing on the advanced experience of domestic and foreign prevention and control of red fire ants,the countermeasures and suggestions for curbing the spread and harm of red fire ants in the current stage are proposed: Firstly,the department leading organization turns to the government to lead and supervise the implementation;Secondly,it is important to clarify the duties of work,and jointly the prevention and control of red fire ants;Thirdly,ensure implement prevention and control funds to ensure the realization of the goal;Fourth,we must rely on the new media propaganda method to popularize the knowledge of prevention and control of the epidemic;Fifthly,we should adapt to local conditions,the mechanism of innovation prevention and control;It is to strengthen the source of quarantine and prevent the spread of the epidemic. |
