Grain Dring Mechanism Of Far IR Assisted By Hot Air In Combine Harvester

Abstract/Summary:
A kind of new paddy drying system directly integrated in combine harvester using exhaust heat of combined harvester to assist the far infrared heater was proposed in order to solve the problem of drying paddy on roadway in our country,decrease the grain loss due to no timely drying in the rice main production region,and improve the energy utilization rate of the combine harvester.In order to seek out the influence law of the distribution of drying energy flow on drying performance and energy utilization under different harvesting conditions and drying targets,and obtain the coupling mechanism of paddy flow,hot air and far infrared in dry chambers,the mechanism and energy consumption balance of hot air assisted far-infrared paddy drying system were analyzed.And the improved designs of the test bench of the drying system were done including the improvements of dry chambers embedded in the screw conveyor and grain collected tank of combine harvester and the design of the measurement and control system.The orthogonal experiments were conducted to reveal the relationship between drying rate,crack rate and unit energy consumption and drying conditions using the test bench built.The results show that the hot air temperature,the speed of screw conveyor and the initial water content are the key factors to the drying rate and it can reach the fastest drying rate as the hot air temperature is 55℃,the speed of screw conveyor is 276r/min and the initial water content of the paddy is 28%;the hot air temperature,the speed of screw conveyor,the initial moisture content,the power of the far infrared heaters are the main factors affecting the crack rate and we can acquire the lowest crack rate in case of the temperature and speed of the hot air is 40℃ and 4.10m/s,the speed of screw conveyor is 282r/min,the power of far infrared heater in the screw conveyor is 1.0k W,the power of far infrared heater in the grain collected tank is 3.5k W,and the initial water content of the paddy is 28%;The temperature and speed of hot air,the speed of screw conveyor,the initial water content,the power of far infrared heater in the screw conveyor are the key factors to the unit energy consumption and the unit energy consumption is the least when the temperature and speed of the hot air is 60 ℃ and5.30m/s separately,the speed of screw conveyor is 276r/min,the power of far infrared heater in the screw conveyor is 1.0k W,and the initial water content of paddy is 28%.
