To determine the optimum supplement of RPSLP in the basal diet in weaned piglets,the effects of Radix pseudostellariae stem and leaf polysaccharide(RPSLP)on the growth performance,serum biochemical indexes and the intestinal indicators and so on in early weanling piglets were investigated in this paper;Then health care and possible mechanism were studied while RPSLP and Bacillus subtilis were added on the basal diet of weaned piglets at the same time.One hundred and twenty 25-day-old weaned piglets(Landrace×Yorkshire)were randomly allocated into 4 groups with 3 repelicates and 10 piglets in each replicate.Piglets in group one were fed a basal diet,and those in other group s(0.05%RPSLP group,0.1%RPSLP group and 0.15%RPSLP group)were fed the basal diet supplemented with 500,1000 and 1500mg/kg RPSLP,respectively,pi glets were raised for 30 days.ResμLts showed as follows:Growth performance:compared with the control group,average daily gain(ADG)and average daily feed intake(ADF)in both 0.05%and 0.1%group were increased and the diarrhe a rate were decreased(P<0.01);Biochemical indicators:the TG(P<0.01)and the BUN content(P<0.05)in three treatmental groups significantly were decreased;Serum immune indicators:immunoglobμLin IgA,IgM,IgG and complement C3,C 4 in three t-reatmental groups were significantly improved(P<0.05);Serum antioxi dant indica-tors:activity of SOD in 0.1%group were significantly improved(P<0.01);Serum hormone aspects:content of T4 and GH in three treatmental groups were significan-tly increased(P<0.05)and IGF-I content in 0.1%group were improve d(P<0.05);Serum levels of cytokines:IL-2 content in both 0.05%and 0.1% groups were increased(P<0.01)and IL-4 content in 0.1%group was improved(P<0.05);The int-estinal immune indicators:IL-4 concent of duodenum in three treatmental group-s were increased(P<0.05);The intestinal morphology:the villus length of duode-num and jejunum in both 0.1%and 0.15%groups were increased(P<0.05),the villus length of ileum in 0.15%group was improved;Appendix flora:the number of lactic acid bacteria in threetreatmental groups were increased and the number of e.coli were decreased significantly(P<0.05).One hundred and fifty 25-day-old weaned piglets(Landdrace×Yorkshire)were randomly allocated into 5 grouos with 3 repellicates and 10 piglets in each replicate.Piglets in control group were fed a basal diet;positive control group were fed the basal diet supplemented with 1000mg/kg of tylosin;probiotics group were fed the basal diet supplemented with1000mg/kg of Bacillus subtilis;RPSLP group were fed the basal diet supplemented with 1000mg/kg of RPSLP;interaction group were fed the basal diet supplemented with1000mg/kg of Bacillus subtilis+1000mg/kg of RPSLP,piglets were raised for 30 days.ResμLts showed as follows:Growth performance:compared with the control group,ADG and ADF in all treatmental groups were increased and the diarrhea rate were decreased(P<0.01);Biochemical indicators:the TG(P<0.01)and the BUN content(P<0.05)were significantly decreased in all treatmental groups,the ALB content(P<0.01)were increased in both probiotics and interaction group;Serum immune indicators:IgA and IgM content(P<0.05)were improved in probiotics group and interaction group,C3,C4 content(P<0.01)were significantly increased in interaction group;Serum antioxidant indicators:activity of SOD and GSH-Px(P<0.01)were significantly improved in interaction group,and T-AOC was significantly increased(P<0.05);Serum hormone aspects:content of T4 and IGF-I were significantly increased in interaction(P<0.05),GH content wasextremely significantly improved(P<0.01);Serum levels of cytokines:content of IL-2,IL-4 and IFN-γ were significant increased in interaction group(P<0.01),IL-4 content was improved in probiotics group(P<0.05);The intestinal immune indicators:Content of IFN-γ,IL-4,IL-2 and content SIgA were signficantly increased in interaction group(P<0.01,P<0.05),IFN-γ and SIgA content of ileum were significantly improved in probiotics group(P<0.05);The intestinal morphology:the villus length and the number of lymphocyte were significantly improved in interaction group(P<0.05),the villus length in probiotics group was increased(P<0.05);Appendix flora:the number of lactic cid bacteria in four treat mental groups were increased and the number of e.coli were significantly decreased(P<0.05).It was concluded that RPSLP and bacillussubtilis together supplementation cou-ld strengthen theimmune function,improve antioxidant function and endocrine function,and regμLate intestinal mucosal immune function of weaned piglets,and then enhance the growth performance of weaned piglets,Both RPSLP and bacillus subtilis together had synergistic effects.
