The total output of the global construction industry is expected to reach US $17.5 trillion until 2030,with huge potential in the international market.However,the development of China’s overseas construction projects is still not sustainable.More recently,increasing recognition of region as the key unit of analysis is reflected in growing attention to sub-national regions and agglomeration economies.It shows that sustainable development is more important than large-scale expansion for the internationalization strategy of China’s construction industry,and the regional collaboration of international competitiveness of should be paid more attention.The main contents of this study are as follows:Firstly,the concept of "sustainable international competitiveness of construction industry" is defined on the basis of supplement of two theories: the theory of sustainable competitive advantage which provide the "sustainable growth" perspective and the theory of sustainable development which provide the "coordinated development of economy,environment and society" perspective.Secondly,the evaluation system is established and the influencing factors are recognized.The spatial and temporal difference of "sustainable international competitiveness of construction industry" is analyzed in 27 provinces,assisting the government making decisions.Then,the driving mode and the shortcomings are researched under different competitiveness levels,and the influence degree of influencing factors is obtained at different sub-points.Finally,two path and strategies are proposed which are adapted to realistic condition.A geographical planning path are proposed according to the consequence of spatial and temporal evolution,and a planning path oriented to the sustainable driving model is put forward according to the results of quantile regression.
