In recent years, the integrated passenger transport service is booming in China. As an important passenger distribution center, airports have become the center of integrated passenger transport and keep promoting the development of ‘integrated air-rail service’ and ‘integrated air-bus service’,among which the latter is the mainstream with its high organization convenience and operation flexibility. However, the current ‘integrated air-bus service’ in China is still at a primary stage. With the rapid development of mobile Internet, the concept of ‘Internet plus’ has been introduced to transportation service, along with the concept of ‘Mobility as a Service(MaaS).Under this context, key technologies such as mobile payment and real-time travel information have been devoted to generating passenger transport resources to facilitate passenger travel, thus improving passenger travel experience and trip efficiency for ‘integrated air-bus service’.This study is sponsored by the National Key Research and Development Plan(2018YFB1601300),National Natural Science Fund(52072066),Outstanding Young Scholar Fund(BK20200014),and Transportation Science and Technology Program of Jiangsu Province(2020Y12).Firstly,this study defines the concept of key service attributes and service bottleneck factors in an entire integrated air-bus trip.A particular investigation was conducted in Nanjing Lukou International Airport, the database of air-bus passengers is then constructed and the reliability test is carried out. This study then describes the characteristics of the interviewed passengers from the perspective of socio-economic characteristics and historical travel characteristics and further makes a statistical analysis on the satisfaction evaluation and expectation on service development of the interviewed passengers.Based on the results of feature characterization, four variables including occupation, monthly income, intercity travel purpose, and intercity travel frequency are used as clustering variables.Based on which, the interviewed passengers were categorized into four categories with different characteristics by k-means clustering method.Afterwards,Gradient Boosting Decision Tree(GBDT)is used to analyze the asymmetric impact of satisfaction perception of key service links on the overall service satisfaction, and work out the service improvement priority of each key service attribute for different types of passengers,so as to diagnose the bottleneck factors in the whole travel chain of an integrated air-bus trip. This paper then analyzes the differences between the existing services and the service under the concept of MaaS,and further puts forward the improvement strategies for key passenger groups. The result shows that there are common and personalized bottleneck factors in intermodal transport facilities, ticketing services, information services and service design for different passenger groups composed of students, migrant workers, and business people.Through the comparative analysis of current service and service under MaaS concept, this paper puts forward some suggestions on the improvement of integrated air-bus service, including the development of demand-responsive passenger transport, the construction of the MaaS-Oriented ticketing and information System and an Active Service Platform for integrated air-bus passengers. This study innovatively analyzes the asymmetry impact of integrated air-bus passengers’ satisfaction towards key service attributes on overall satisfaction.Compared with the previous studies using discrete choice model and linear regression to do user satisfaction research, this study applies a machine learning method with better performance,GBDT,to conduct satisfaction modeling. Then we put forward comprehensive service improvement strategies from four aspects under the guidance of the MaaS concept, providing suggestions for the airbus service operators.
