A Study On The Information System Of Chinese Traditional Garden Waterscape-The "Rule-Form-Garden" System And Its Informatization Application

Under the background of inheriting Chinese traditional garden culture and advancing with the times to promote the innovation and development of landscape architecture,it is a hot spot in current landscape architecture research that how to realize the interdisciplinary cross of landscape architecture and computer science and build information systems such as intelligent gardens,digital landscapes for promoting the development of the discipline.Taking the theories and procedures of Chinese traditional gardens waterscape as the research object,this study combs the development process,philosophical thought and artistic characteristics of Chinese traditional garden waterscape through theoretical research and case analysis.And then this study summarizes the contents and the relations among the “rules” about the design rules,the “forms” about waterscape types and combination forms and the “gardens” about the corresponding typical examples of waterscape construction.These are all about to explore constructing an information retrieval system for waterscape design learning and guidance which could be convenient for the design and study of Chinese traditional garden waterscape.So as to explore the new ways and new paths of inheriting the design philosophy and methods of the Chinese traditional gardens waterscape and promote the inheritance and innovation of Chinese garden culture.Innovation :(1)This study constructs a Chinese traditional garden waterscape “rule-form-garden ” system.Based on the Chinese traditional natural landscape gardens waterscape,starting from the types and forms of waterscape,and combined with the typical paradigm and examples of waterscape in landscape architecture,this study explores the contents and the relations among “rule ”,“form” and “ garden ” and summarizes the rules of waterscape design such as “form and reason,law and road,scenery and environment,sequence and rhythm,whole and local”,generalizes lots of forms such as the waterscape unit type,element type and unit combination form,element type and combination form,and sorts out some gardens which are the corresponding typical examples of waterscape construction,and then constructs the “rule-formgarden ”system of Chinese traditional garden waterscape.(2)This study constructs a convenient and useful information retrieval system for waterscape design learning and guidance.The “rule” “form” “garden” modules are further more used to explore the database construction in this study.Starting from the function,the function modules and database of the information system are constructed,and the use interface is designed.The information system will make the learning and mastering the knowledge of the philosophy and method of the waterscape design of the traditional Chinese natural landscape architecture more convenient.The information system will make retrieving the relevant typical cases simpler.And the information system will realize the auxiliary function of waterscape knowledge learning and design.This study opened a new chapter of landscape design information system research.
