The pantographs-catenary system of high-speed trains is a key component to ensure the safe and stable energy reception of high-speed trains,However,as the speed of the train is further increased,the pantographs-catenary coupling vibration intensifies,arcing occurs frequently,and the sliding strip material evaporates and cracks expand under the action of arcing,which seriously affects the service status of the pantograph strip material,and the pantographs-catenary arc erosion has now become a key influencing factor to restrict the service performance of the electrode material of the pantographs-catenary system.The study of the pantographs-catenary arc on copper/carbon contact sub-material electric erosion characteristics has existed a certain amount,focusing on the arc erosion on the impact of the pantograph strip current-carrying friction wear performance.However,with the construction of Sichuan-Tibet Railway,the low-oxygen environment in high-altitude areas has put forward new requirements on the service performance of the pantographs-catenary system.At present,there is a lack of investigation on the mechanism of arc ignition and erosion process of the pantographs-catenary in low oxygen environment.Therefore,this paper systematically conducts a study on the erosion characteristics of the arc on the electrode materials under different oxygen content of the environment.In this paper,based on the self-constructed arc test platform of high-altitude low-oxygen environment,the arc plasma parameters are collected and summarized by varying the oxygen content on the arc burning process,in addition to the characterization of the microscopic morphology,composition and structure of the electrode material surface under the low-oxygen environment and analysis of the formation causes,at the meantime measuring and summarizing the deterioration rule in mechanical and electrical properties of the pantograph strip after arc ablation.The study of the arc plasma parameters under different oxygen contents firstly investigated the differences of arc voltage,arc morphology and behavior in the arc burning process under different oxygen contents and found the arc development and evolution law under low oxygen content;meanwhile analyzed and measured the change of arc temperature,electron density and vapor density of arc plasma under different oxygen contents and analyzed the influence mechanism of oxygen on the arc internal In addition,the variation law between the arc energy density and the maintenance capacity and the oxygen content is briefly analyzed and summarized.In addition,the surface elements and compounds of the arc ablation area were analyzed,and the changes of the surface products and their contents were explained from the perspective of elemental distribution after the arc ablation at different oxygen contents.In addition,the deterioration degree of resistivity,compression and bending resistance of the sliding plate material was analyzed and quantified from the perspective of mechanical and electrical properties,in material manufacturing,providing reference to reduce the degree of erosion of electrode materials by arc in low oxygen environment.
