Research On Waterfront Renewal Design Of Dayun River,Yangwangmiao River And Nanyuan River In Suzhou Ancient City

Dayun River,Yangwangmiao River,and Nanyuan River are important and special parts of the water system of the ancient city of Suzhou,restricting the development of the entire southern part of the ancient city.The problem of insufficient protection and utilization of its waterfront space has become more prominent.In the opportunity of the renewal of the ancient city of Suzhou,how to protect space resources and strengthen the use of space has also become the key to the renewal design of the waterfront space.Therefore,the author puts forward a targeted strategy for the specific practical problems of the waterfront space,and implements it into a specific renewal design.First of all,through a literature review,the renewal design of the waterfront space is included in the scope of the ancient city renewal;through the basic research on the waterfront space of the ancient city of Suzhou,combined with the upper planning,the characteristic value and protection direction of the ancient city of Suzhou,Dayun River,Yangwangmiao River,Nanyuan River and the waterfront space of Dayun River,Yangwangmiao River and Nanyuan River has been clear.Then,through specific research combining the interview and questionnaire method,analyze and summarize the actual problems of the waterfront space at No.47,48,49,and 50 neighborhoods and the waterfront spaces of Dayun River,Yangwangmiao River,and Nanyuan River.It mainly includes the problem of the insufficient reorganization and strengthening of the waterfront space in the basic planning structure of the neighborhood,as well as the weak core radiation of the waterfront space,low space utilization,insufficient waterfront interaction,poor style and features,rough node design,poor landscape facilities,etc.Finally,in response to specific issues,targeted strategies were proposed from two levels: the structural reorganization of the basic planning of blocks 47,48,49,and 50 of the waterfront space and the renewal design of the waterfront space of Dayun River,Yangwangmiao River,and Nanyuan River.And it is implemented in six specific basic planning structure arrangement and renewal design of spatial structure,land function,traffic organization,urban style,space nodes and landscape with facilities.Thus,on the basis of the research on perfecting the waterfront space of the whole water system in the ancient city of Suzhou,it provides effective design experience for the waterfront space of the ancient city of Suzhou.
