| With China’s economic development into the new normal, the quality and efficiency of economic development has become a topic of wide concern to all sectors of society. However, after the implementation of "fiscal de-empowerment",the market segmentation phenomenon in China has,to a certain extent, hindered the economic exchanges between regions, restricted the flow of factors of production and advantageous resources between regions, and led to the stagnation of productivity growth of local enterprises. Therefore, this paper chooses the impact of China’s energy market segmentation on enterprise productivity to carry out in-depth research, focusing on the analysis of China’s energy market segmentation on the internal impact of enterprise productivity mechanism,in order to promote the integration of China’s domestic market to accelerate the improvement of regional enterprise productivity to provide some reference and suggestions. This paper tries to study the relationship and influence mechanism between energy market segmentation and enterprise productivity from the perspective of micro-enterprises,which is divided into two parts:theoretical research and empirical research. In the theoretical research part, this paper constructs the theoretical model between energy market segmentation and enterprise productivity.According to the decision-making model of improving the productivity of enterprises,on this basis, the local energy market segmentation factor is introduced into the model,so as to study the impact of local energy market segmentation on enterprise productivity. Finally, the hypothesis is put forward that the division of energy market and the productivity of local enterprises are inverted U-shaped.In the empirical research part, this paper studies the influence of China’s energy market segmentation on the total factor productivity of enterprises from the perspective of micro-enterprises,and further selects the micro-data of China’s six high energy-consuming enterprises from2002-2007 for empirical analysis.First of all,the price method is selected to calculate and analyze the energy market segmentation index, and the results show that from 2002 to 2007,the energy market segmentation showed a general downward trend, although there were several upward fluctuations during this period.Secondly, the total factor productivity of enterprises is measured by LP method and OP method. Finally, the relationship and influence of energy market segmentation and other control variables on enterprise productivity are analyzed empirically by the measurement model, and the robustness test is further tested by means of ownership, alternative variables and construction tool variables. The test results show that the energy market segmentation and local enterprise productivity are inverted U-shaped relationship, and the robustness test confirms the hypothesis of this paper. This paper also further analyzes and tests the mechanism of the energy market segmentation on the productivity of enterprises.First,in China’s large market environment, economies of scale can promote the productivity of enterprises, and the existence of market segmentation makes it difficult for local enterprises to form specialized labor and industrial aggregation, enterprises can not benefit from the benefits of economies of scale;Second, enterprise innovation activities are also one of the important impact mechanisms, innovation activities can make enterprises’ own competitiveness to improve, promote enterprise productivity, and the division of the energy market suppresses the vitality of enterprises and innovation ability. Therefore, speeding up the integration of the domestic market, giving full play to the economies of scale effect and the comparative advantages between regions, improving the degree of industrial specialization and industrial adivation, stimulating enterprises to increase their innovative activities, actively carrying out product research and development and technological innovation, and improving their own competitiveness, will be conducive to promoting the steady increase in regional enterprise productivity. |
