| In recent years,with the rapid development of China’s iron and steel industry,the discharge of steel slag is increasing day by day.In fact,steel slag has high reuse value.Rational utilization of steel slag is an important measure to achieve sustainable development.Relevant studies show that the expansibility of steel slag is the fundamental reason restricting its large-scale utilization.In order to reduce its expansibility,this study will adopt the method of adding mineral admixtures to steel slag.In this study,different proportions of fly ash,silica fume and crushed stone were added to the non aged steel slag for expansion rate test and road performance test.The experimental results show that the expansion rate of raw steel slag is 5.71%;The expansion rate of steel slag can be reduced to 1.82% by adding 25% fly ash on the basis of the original steel slag,and further reduced to 1.64% by adding 4% cement.The road performance of the steel slag mixture after adding cement can meet the requirements of medium and light traffic of class I Highway and extremely heavy traffic of highway below class II;On the basis of the original steel slag,adding 2% silica fume can reduce the expansion rate of steel slag to 1.70%,and adding 4% cement can further reduce it to1.57%,and the road performance of steel slag mixture after adding cement can meet the requirements of extremely heavy and extra heavy traffic grade of class I highway;Add25%,50% and 75% crushed stones into the steel slag respectively,con Fig.the steel slag mixture according to the skeleton dense gradation,and then add 4% cement.It is found that the expansion rate of the steel slag mixture decreases to 1.23%,0.81% and 0.45%respectively,and the road performance of the steel slag mixture can meet the requirements of extremely heavy and extra heavy traffic grade of class I highway.Through comprehensive comparison,it is considered that the cement stabilized steel slag mixture with 50% crushed stone in steel slag has the best comprehensive benefit.The effective utilization of steel slag is of great significance to save energy and protect the environment. |
