Research On The Space Design Of Home Stay Based On The Cultural Background Of "Zen"

Zen culture is one of the traditional Chinese culture and also one of the Chinese elements.Although the Zen culture originated from India,it was integrated with the Chinese culture in pursuit of returning to nature,thus forming a unique Zen culture which has been handed down to this day.With the rapid development of modern cities,people are gradually seeking for high-quality living environment and spatial experience.Due to the accelerating pace of modern society,people are nervous of living and working environment,they are eager to purify their mind and live in the holy land of peace and contentment,so that both the body and the mind can get double satisfaction.And the home stay facility as a unique living mode,the characteristics of superior geographical location,beautiful natural environment,new living environment and etc were deeply loved by the masses of tourists.And zen culture in the home stay facility enables visitors to experience the zen culture brought about by the comfort and ease in a residential manner,improve people’s quality of life and bring different sense of space.And its core concept is also very consistent with those living in a fast-paced society who are eager to free themselves and seek for comfort,so that they can really achieve the spiritual and physical relaxation in this living space full of cultural atmosphere.This paper takes Zen culture as a starting point,to explore how to integrate "Zen" culture into the design of home stay space.Firstly,this article studies the historical theory and development of Zen culture,expounds the concepts of Zen culture and home stay facility and analyses deeply domestic and foreign cases,the preliminary demonstrates the Zen culture of the feasibility and practical value of application to the home stay facility.Secondly,obtaining the home stay space design strategy of Zen culture,under the premise of clear design concept of Zen culture home stay space,starting from the three main aspects of the core concept of Zen,the construction of the Zen atmosphere,and the application of natural elements to carry on the concrete application analysis combined with the example.Selecting "View of Nature","View of Emptiness" and "View of Impermanence" from the core concepts of Zen to analyse the performance form of the home stay space in the core concept of Zen;Summing up the processing methods of indoor framed scenery,the combination of the virtual and the real,the natural borrowing of scenery and the Zen ornaments in the construction of the Zen atmosphere;In terms of natural elements,light and shadow,color,material and sound are mainly studied to obtain an effective way to create the Zen home stay.Through the in-depth analysis of the three main aspects,this paper expounds how to integrate and reflect the Zen culture perfectly into the space design of the home stay,so as to create an empty and plain,plain and true,primitive and natural space environment of the home stay.Finally,the Zen culture home stay space design strategy concluded through the analysis is applied to the space design of Changchun Huasheng Jingyue No.1 Building 17,to create a modern home stay facility with the flavor of Zen culture,to meet people’s spiritual needs,and at the same time to provide a certain reference value for the home stay space design.
