| Mitigating the energy crisis and developing green and sustainable energy as a substitute for fossil energy is one of the rigid needs for maintaining the steady economic and social development of our country.As a renewable energy source,solar energy has many advantage.Our country’s solar photovoltaic market is growing steadily and still has potential to develop.The concentrator photovoltaic system,compared with other types of photovoltaic power generation technology,has a smaller footprint and solar cell material consumption.In addition,the combination of concentrator photovoltaic system and the multi-junction solar cell has effectively reduced the overall input cost of the system and improved the utilization efficiency of solar energy.However,the photoelectric performance of multi-junction solar cell will directly affect the overall performance of concentrator photovoltaic system.In multi-junction solar cell,the luminescent coupling effect between sub-cells can change the photoelectric characteristics of sub-cells,such as photocurrent and photovoltage.Therefore,the luminescent coupling effect may affect the performance of concentrator photovoltaic system.In order to improve the conversion efficiency of concentrator photovoltaic system and explore its potential photoelectric performance,this paper will focus on the study of luminescent coupling effect.It has summarized and explained the conception of luminescent coupling effect from the experimental phenomena in literatures already published.Also,it has summarized and analyzed the theories of luminescent coupling effect based on the diode equation.Finally,combining with the operational characteristics of concentrator photovoltaic system,a theoretical model has been modeling for a concentrator photovoltaic system.And the influence of luminescent coupling effect on the concentrator photovoltaic system has been analyzed by the model.The specific research content of this paper can be divided into the following aspects:According to the EQE artifact and the EL imaging’s quenching of multi-junction solar cell,it has determined the photoelectric coupling in multi-junction solar cell and then summarized the conception of luminescent coupling effect.Combining the conception of luminescent coupling effect,it has studied the equivalent circuit formed by diode equation.The dark current of solar cell described by diode equation has been divided.And the electroluminescence and photoluminescence of solar cell has also been discussed.Finally,the luminescent coupling effect model for triple-junction solar cell has been established.It has studied the operation characteristic of the concentrator unit.It has also analyzed the influence of the concentrator unit on the output performance of the triple-junction solar cell with luminescent coupling effect.It has analyzed the characteristic of a Fresnel-lens-based concentrator photovoltaic module by modeling.The mathematical iterative method has been used to extract the parameters in the model.And the concentrator photovoltaic module’s V-I curve has been fitted by the model.Also,the model can predict the open circuit voltage of the concentrator photovoltaic module more precisely. |
