Gears are essential transmission components in modern industry,and the accuracy of gears affects transmission precision.To ensure the reliability of the use of gears,it is necessary to test the gears for various errors.With the improvement of testing technology,the testing methods of gears are also being innovated.At present,the common gear inspection methods are divided into contact measurement and non-contact measurement,the former commonly used measurement instruments such as gear online sorting machine,CMM and CNC inspection center,etc.,which are costly and high maintenance cost,while the latter relies on machine vision technology and sensor technology,which has become the hot spot of gear measurement technology research in recent years.Laser measurement is a non-contact measurement method with high accuracy,low price and fast measurement.This measurement method is constrained by the laser stability,and the laser beam has a small tangential angle with the tooth surface when measuring the involute tooth surface,which affects the reflected light into the sensor receiver.Therefore,it is important to find out an efficient and high-precision gear laser measurement method to improve the defects in the measurement process.To correct the shortcomings of existing laser measurement methods for gears,this thesis proposes an offset laser measurement method for gears based on laser displacement sensors,and develops measurement device and its supporting software,which is capable of rapid detection of multiple error items in gears.Through the introduction of recent gear measurement methods and mainstream measurement equipment,this thesis analyzes the shortcomings of existing measurement methods and clarifies the advantages of gear laser measurement methods.Aiming at the defects of the existing laser measurement process,this thesis proposes an offset laser measurement method for gears by analyzing its accuracy influencing factors,describes the principle of offset measurement and the principle of offset distance selection,gives the error analysis method of gear measurement data,and carries out theoretical verification of the offset measurement of gears.Based on the principle of offset measurement of gears,this thesis builds an experimental device for offset measurement of gears,which mainly consists of a three-coordinate translation device,a workpiece rotary table,a laser displacement sensor,a motion control system and other auxiliary mechanisms.The control and data processing software is written in Visual Basic to realize the automatic gear offset laser measurement and data processing.Lastly,the built experimental setup was used to verify the offset laser measurement method for gears of known accuracy and to determine the error for gears of unknown accuracy.The results show that the offset data conversion method,the optimal offset selection method and the error analysis method in the offset laser measurement method for gears are correct and reasonable,and the use of this method can provide rapid measurements for different types of gears.The method solves the defects in the process of gear laser measurement and lays a solid foundation for the development of gear laser measurement technology.
