By combining features of visualization,collaboration,and other advantages,BIM technology has been widely used in engineering construction.In the application process,BIM professional software must be downloaded and installed to read the model,which causes inconvenience to the real-time browsing of the model.It can cause performance issues while reading the large BIM model on a low-configuration computer,especially when it comes an immense gymnasium model with a complex building structure.To to solve this problem while improving the work process efficiency,the concept of lightweight design was adopted,the model was processed through Revit by re-developing technology,and rendered in the browser by using WebGL technology.The main research content of this thesis is as follows:(1)The theme illustrated the data processing of BIM model and its lightweight display.In this paper,by comparing to other software,Revit had been considered as the modeling software for this study,then the thesis analyzed the advantages of the B/S browser structure.Storing model information in JSON files by using Revit re-developing technology which realizes data extraction and processing of BIM model was mentioned in the article.Additionally,it applied WebGL to add scenes,cameras,and light sources to the web page,as well as reading JSON files,so that the BIM model could be re-rendered on the browser-end.(2)This essay explained the basic interactive design and rendering optimization of the BIM model on the browser-end.In my research,the ray intersection method was applied to realize the model picking function,which was associated with the model attribute display function.And then realizing basic interactive functions such as model rotation,zoom,and translation.Also,adding interface component controllers to facilitate model manipulation.Finally,the method of multi-detail layer division was adopted to optimize the rendering performance of the model.(3)The security management platform of the gymnasium was designed by taking the following procedures.Analyzing the requirements and framework of the platform,configuring the platform development environment,and designing the application process and functions of the platform.(4)Moreover,this paper verified the lightweight application of BIM based on actual engineering.The lightweight technology of the BIM model was applied to a gymnasium in Zhengzhou to constructing the BIM model,explaining the construction process of the gymnasium’s security data management platform,as well as displaying the platform function.Then its performance and application effects were finally evaluated according to the platform characteristics.
