Abstract/Summary:
Simple metal gaskets or rubber sealing ring structures can no longer meet the sealing requirements of aerospace engines,and a sealing structure composed of a metal spring and a plastic shell has emerged.This kind of sealing structure combines the good resilience performance of the metal spring when compressed,and the good corrosion resistance and strong stability of the PTFE shell.Because of its strong resistance to low temperature and high pressure,small leakage,small dynamic friction,etc.It has excellent performance and is widely used in various valve seals.This paper adopts the method of combining finite element analysis and experimental verification to carry out a comprehensive and comprehensive analysis of two typical reciprocating lip seal.Establishing two typical U-shaped and O-shaped spring.Mises stress,strain and supporting force were analyzed,and the influence of key structural parameters on the energy storage performance of the spring was obtained.Summarizing the change law of spring structure parameters under different compression amounts,the sensitive parameters of different spring energy storage structures are obtained.The influence of U-shaped spring structure parameters from large to small is sorted as spring thickness,spring width,root fillet,cantilever beam length,and opening size.The order of the influence of O-spring structure parameters from large to small is spring thickness,spring cross-sectional diameter,and spring width.Using ABAQUS software to establish the numerical analysis model of U-shaped and two types of O-shaped reciprocating lip seal,and the sealing performance parameters such as Mises stress,contact surface width and friction force of the PTFE shell were obtained,and the working pressure was analyzed.Designing this type of lip seal by the leakage model.A comparative analysis of the contact stress,friction,leakage and other sealing performance of the two seal ring structures under the same working conditions shows that the O-ring seal is more suitable for occasions with higher sealing requirements.Developed a regulated dynamic friction test system and leak test device.The test measures and analyzes the frictional force and leakage of the lip seal when the motor speed and pressure change.The test results show that the change of motor speed has almost no effect on the friction and leakage of the lip seal.The change of pressure has a big effect on them.Through numerical simulation and experimental verification,the reciprocating lip seal structure’s spring energy storage characteristics and the change law of sealing ring sealing characteristics are summarized,and new lip seal design ideas are proposed to provide references for the design and application of this type of sealing ring.
