In recent years, with the energy crisis and environmental degradation becoming increasingly severe, achieving green and sustainable development has become the consensus of all countries.China is actively responding to the challenges of climate change, and energy saving and emission reduction is a necessary path for the long-term stable development of China. As the main carrier of people’s life, the energy consumption of urban buildings is an important part of the total energy consumption of society.Since the reform and opening-up,the continuous improvement of people’s living standards, building energy consumption is also increasing rapidly.‘The 13th Five-Year Plan for Building Energy Efficiency and Green Building Development’proposes to improve the preparation of detailed urban control plans, improve green building development requirements, and guide the implementation of green control indicators on each development site.In the new situation of vigorously promoting the construction of green neighborhoods,it is important to promote high-intensity energy conservation in buildings from the city neighborhood level. However,in a high-density city, the overall energy consumption of a neighborhood is not a simple superposition of the energy consumption of individual buildings, and the distribution and variation patterns of energy consumption in neighborhood-scale buildings have not yet been adequately studied.By summarizing the relevant research bases of building energy consumption and block-scale energy consumption at home and abroad, this study firstly constructs a quantitative assessment method and technical means applicable to block-scale building energy consumption with Energy Plus as the core. The study then takes the residential blocks in Wuhan,a typical city in the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River,as the research object, and researches 44 residential block cases in various districts of Wuhan, dividing them into 6 categories according to the differences in the general building heights and layouts of the blocks, evaluating and calculating the overall energy consumption and sub-energy consumption of different types of residential block cases, comparing and analyzing the differences in the distribution of building energy consumption in different types of residential neighborhoods, and exploring the differences in the morphology of residential blocks. The study finds that,in general, the energy consumption of the building is not as high as the energy consumption of the building. It is found that for residential neighborhoods, the correlation between body shape coefficient and building depth and neighborhood energy consumption has a significant effect, with the overall energy consumption increasing by9.23 k Wh/m~2 for every 0.1 increase in body shape coefficient and decreasing by 0.628k Wh/m~2 for every 1m increase in building depth. In addition, building density and volume ratio are also relevant for different types of neighborhoods. Therefore, from the aspect of energy saving, for residential neighborhoods, reducing the volume factor or increasing the depth of the building can be more effective in reducing the energy consumption of the neighborhood.
