Research On The Spatial Form Of Traditional Villages Of Shui Nationality

Sandu Shui Autonomous County,as the only autonomous county of the Shui nationality in China,contains more than 60% of the population of the Shui nationality.The villages of the Shui nationality has unique charm in culture and is abundant in the type of space form,but currently,the academic circles are void of research on the material space of the traditional villages of the Shui nationality.By using interdisciplinary methods including human geography,urban morphology,architectural typology and the like,this paper analyzes the overall spatial distribution pattern of the villages of the Shui nationality in the county,divides areas and classification for the villages based on the division of the cultural area of the Duan Festival,and then selects typical villages in the county for case analysis.Through the method of urban morphology of conzenian school,the paper aims to seek the future protection and development path for the villages and provide suggestions for the development of the villages in the county from the perspective of village cluster.The paper consists of six parts:Part One: Introduction It is outline of this paper.Based on the research progress of urban morphology and the rural settlements at home and abroad and the current research on the villages of the Shui nationality,the paper determines the research scope,object,method and framework.Part Two: Research on the formation of the villages of the Shui nationality and the characteristics of the Shui nationality.By combing the origin ofthe Shui nationality and the historical development of Sandu Shui Autonomous County,the paper finds that the Shui nationality had a strong self-awareness and the sense of family identity in the process of migration,evolvement and resistance to the imperial courts.The characteristics and migration of the Shui nationality have a strong correlation with the "Duan Festival" and the distribution of the villages is closely related to the festival,therefore,"Duan" is extracted as the core clue of the paper.Part Three: The overall pattern and type division of of the villages of the Shui nationality within the county.At the level of the wole county,the paper analyzes the overall distribution,the natural ecological environment background and the spatial distribution pattern of the villages of the Shui nationality.The village elements of the Shui nationality are extracted from two dimensions: At the material level,the paper extracts the spatial form genes of the nationality to determine its constituent points,summarize the characteristics of various aspects and carry out spatial quantitative and qualitative analysis of various elements;At the social structure level,it takes the "Duan Festival" and surname reflecting the blood relationship and clan of the nationality as the leading factors and adds the material spatial form elements mentioned above to form six major cultural and geographical areas and analyzes the characteristics and causes of the six major areas.Part Four: Analysis of the typical villages of the Shui nationality The paper studies the origin of villages by virtue of the historical evolution and the spatial distribution.Under this background,it mainly analyzes the material components and system functions of Zenlei Village,Bamao Village,Dabian Village and Tangdang Village by means of the Conzenian urban morphology,and then it divides the morphological areas and evaluates and analyzes the areas of villages based on this.Finally,it draws the management units based on the land ownership and proposes the relevant protection and management opinions.Part Five: Put forward suggestions to protection and development of the villages of the Shui nationality The paper throws out suggestions on optimizing the villages of the Shui nationality from the levels of village cluster,village space and residential space.It is necessary to put forward the modern transformation methods based on the actual situation while retaining the cultural and spatial characteristics of the Shui nationality.Part Six: Summarize the important conclusion of the full paper,comments on the deficiencies,and look into the future research of the villages of the Shui nationality.
