In order to adapt to the growing demand for renewable energy in the new era and promote the further construction of electricity spot market in China,look-ahead optimization plays an important role.By extending the period range of optimization,look-ahead optimization promotes the efficient allocation of resources in a longer period,improves the success rate of model solution,and endows clearing price with intertemporal economic significance.Firstly,this paper introduces the basic content of look-ahead optimization of power spot market,which is carried out from three aspects: centralized electricity spot market operation rules,market clearing calculation and settlement model.Secondly,this paper constructs the deviation model of the look-ahead period,defines all kinds of components in the model in detail,describes the selection procedure of each component parameter,and designs the procedure of period optimization of the electricity spot market to find out the reasonable look-ahead period quantitatively.Through the example verification,the optimal look-ahead period has good tracking ability for the period with continuous and violent fluctuation across intervals,which can not only cover the period of load fluctuation well but also reduce the impact of load forecasting deviation.Besides,this paper summarizes the improved model of look-ahead optimization in the electricity spot market,including convex hull pricing model and improved real-time look-ahead optimization model.The improved model can make the uplift cost explicit and better transmit the real value of the spot market.The convex hull pricing mechanism,by minimizing the dual gap in the nonconvex optimization model,reflects part of the no-load and start-up costs in the multi-interval electricity price,which increases the incentive of electricity price.The improved real-time look-ahead optimization model helps the real-time price reflect the value of historical intertemporal constraints by introducing time-series correlation variables,ensures the incentive of the settlement electricity price and quantity,and makes up for the insufficient incentive problem caused by incomplete information due to a short look-ahead period.Finally,the paper analyzes the corresponding relationship between electricity spot price and unit operation cost,designs a multi-round clearing procedure combined with the improved look-ahead optimization model,and designs a related settlement system level by level to cover the full cost of unit operation as much as possible.
