| The Y-intersection is the bottleneck of urban roads, which is mainly seen in the upstream ramp, downstream ramp and lane reduction section. As an effective way to solve traffic congestion at the Y-intersection,zip-merging has been applied in some cities in China. In reality, due to the lack of effective supervision mechanism and insufficient punishment, this regulation is often ignored by the driver. Thus, the traffic efficiency of urban road system is seriously restricted. In the congested environment, the driver’s dilemma is what kind of merger behavior(compulsory merger or cooperative merger)to take.Based on the supplement of the existing research gaps, this paper proposes a solution based on the driver credit, which can optimize the traffic order of Y-intersection and improve the traffic efficiency. This paper identifies and abstracts the key factors of driver’s action decision-making,and puts forward a three-stage driving decision-making model of Y-intersection.Intelligent Travel Points(ITPs),which are used to represent drivers’ credit, are introduced. On the basis of cooperation between drivers, the concept of "alternate traffic" is proposed.Based on the principle of game theory, the innovative Driving Order Game(DOG)is proposed to study the evolution of the game of alternate traffic.Based on the Agent-Based Model(ABM),a traffic model of Y-intersection is established, which includes physical level, credit level and interaction level. On this basis, the traffic characteristics of Y-intersection are analyzed, and the formation mechanism of zip-merging is further revealed.According to the evaluation results of the system, including the average operation efficiency of the cooperation area and the average operation efficiency. Finally, using the method of Multi Factor Analysis of Variance(MANOVA),the paper analyzes the influence of the preference value a in ITPs,the five maximum allowable number of vehicles h set by the Driving Order Recommendation System(DORS)and their interaction on the cooperation efficiency, the average cooperation rate of the system and the degree of road traffic uniformity. On the basis of the recommended optimal parameters, the relevant policy recommendations are put forward. In the zip-merging state, because the cooperation rate between drivers reaches a high level, the traffic efficiency of Y-intersection is greatly improved. After the introduction of the driver credit evaluation system, the cooperation consciousness of the drivers is significantly enhanced.Under certain conditions(such as h = 1,a = 0.5),the traffic efficiency of the merging area can be improved by 13.79% under alternate traffic conditions. Therefore, this study is committed to further promote the congestion control of Y-intersection and even the whole road system from the perspective of credit management. Finally, three policy suggestions are put forward: to establish and improve the driver credit evaluation system,to promote the multi-agent co-governance of traffic congestion, and to build a reasonable travel information platform. |
