The main feature of the concrete-filled narrow steel tube column is that the height-width ratio of the cross-section is between 2 and 4.Due to the small cross-section,the column can be effectively hidden inside the walls, optimizing building space and increasing aesthetics. Therefore,it has essential engineering applications and good prospects for development. In this dissertation,a new form of concrete-filled narrow steel tube column to H-section steel beam joint is proposed based on the relevant research, and the seismic performance of the new joint is studied for the following contents:(1)The finite element analysis of the basic specimen of this new joint is established, and the analysis is also carried out on the test specimen of the related narrow column joint with similar mechanical performance. The accuracy and reliability of the finite element method are verified by comparing and studying the simulation results and test results.(2)The damage mechanism and seismic performance of the joint are investigated, and the results showed that the damage mode of this joint is mainly manifested as bucking of the flange at the end of the beam, which is in line with the principles of "Strong column-weak beam" and "Strong connection and weakly connected component." The parametric analysis of the new joint is also carried out to investigated the influence of the parameters on the seismic performance.(3)The design method of the core area of the joint is proposed according to the relevant specifications, and the verification of the basic specimen under pseudo-static loading is also carried out.The verification results all satisfy the requirements.(4)Taking a steel frame structure residential building with this concrete-filled narrow steel tube column as an example, the structure is subjected to elastic analysis under wind loads and frequent earthquakes and static elastic-plastic analysis under rare earthquakes, the damage mechanism and overall indicators of the structure are analyzed and verified.
