| With the development of urban traffic, road traffic conditions become more and more diversified, which brings great challenges to urban traffic management, and also makes drivers’ driving behavior more complex. In the driver’s driving behavior, lanechanging behavior includes both horizontal and vertical motion, which is more complex than car-following behavior that only includes vertical motion,lane-changing behavior is more susceptible to the driver’s gender, age, personality, and driving habits. And other characteristics.Driving style as a comprehensive explanation of driver characteristics and driving behavior is the focus of research in recent years.Based on the characteristics of drivers’ lane-changing behavior, this paper uses exploratory factor analysis and K-means clustering to classify drivers’ driving styles. On the basis of this, the relationship between different demographics factors and driver driving style is analyzed.Firstly, the lane-changing process is divided into three stages: information perception,lane-changing judgment and operation execution.Analyze the characteristics of driver’s lane-changing behavior at different stages, the influencing factors of lane-changing behavior are obtained: demographic factors, driver’s psychology, physiology, driving habits, driving skill level, etc. On this basis, the driver’s lane-changing behavior questionnaire was compiled based on the overseas Manchester DBQ questionnaire.Secondly, the exploratory factor analysis method is used to reduce the dimension of 26 lane-changing behavior variables that affect the driver’s style.Four comprehensive indicators that can characterize the driver’s style are obtained: A1 easy to neglect lane changing behavior,A2 easy to error lane changing behavior,A3 easy to change lanes without patience,A4 easy to emotional lane-changing behavior. Finally, based on the four parameters, the driving style of 687 drivers is divided into three categories: aggressive driving styles, ordinary driving style and conservative driving style.Analyzing the driving style of drivers with different demographic factors, the results show that:(1)Male drivers tend to show aggressive driving styles, and male drivers are more likely to be negligent and impatient when lane-changing,but women drivers are susceptible to emotional influence;(2)The driver is older and has a long driving experience, his driving experience is more abundant, his driving skills are more mature,he considers more factors when lane-changing,and rarely causes unsafe lanechanging due to negligence. With the growth of the driver’s age and driving experience, the driver is increasingly showing a conservative driving style;(3)The driver has a low level of education, and the driver tends to show a radical driving style when lane-changing.The driver has a higher level of education, and the driver is more likely to control his emotions and patience;(4)Drivers have more traffic accidents and deducted points every year, when lane-changing,the driver is more susceptible to negligence, error, lack of patience, and his own emotions, and the driver shows a radical driving style.Based on the characteristics of lane-changing behavior, this paper studies the driver’s driving style.Clarified the differences in driving styles of drivers with different demographic factors,it can provide a theoretical basis for the driver’s targeted management and ensure traffic safety. |
