Ocean acoustic background field refers to the noise in marine environment,which not only helps to retrieve the related ocean phenomena,but also acts as the main disturbance factor of acoustic communication in ocean.Therefore,it is of great scientific significance and practical engineering value to carry out ocean acoustic background field observation and data acquisition.Underwater glider,as a novel underwater unmanned platform,has potential application prospect and advantages in the long-time and large-scale stable observation of oceanic ambient noise.For this reason,the integrated design and application of acoustic observation underwater glider are studied in this paper.Based on the working principle of hydrophone,the integrated design and development of acoustic observation underwater glider are performed.The whole vehicle is analyzed and designed according to the requirements of mechanical interface,electrical interface and communication interface.According to the calculation results of CFD simulation of fluid hydrodynamic parameters,the installation position of hydrophone on underwater glider body is optimized.The stability of underwater gliding motion is simulated by establishing the acoustic observation model,and then the control parameters are optimized with the acoustic observation as the constraint.Because the body noise of underwater glider is the main interference to the observation of ocean acoustic background field,the self-noise research of acoustic observation underwater glider is investigated.Through the design of tank experiment,the self-noise data of acoustic observation underwater glider are collected under different working conditions,and the collected data are analyzed in time-domain,frequency-domain and time-frequency domain.The self-noise characteristics of underwater glider under different working conditions are extracted and the noise characteristics of noise source are summarized.Through the comparison and analysis of the radiation noise and transmission noise in the self-noise,the vibration reduction and noise reduction method of the suspension isolator is put forward,and the expected effect is obtained.Finally,in order to verify the performance of acoustic observation underwater gliders,a large number of self-noise and marine ambient noise data of underwater gliders were obtained in a sea area in the South China Sea in May 2019.Through the data analysis of the glider,the acoustic observation underwater glider is proved to have good stability and reliability in depth control,heading control,attitude control and speed control.At the same time,the ocean acoustic background field data of the 1000 m thpth section are also obtained.The analysis of the acoustic data verifies that the acoustic observation underwater glider already has the ability to observe the ocean acoustic background field.
