As a kind of liquid transportation machinery,tank container has brought great convenience and economic benefits to people.The tank container is mainly composed of an outer frame and an inner tank body.According to different design requirements,it can transport a variety of liquid including low temperature,room temperature,low pressure,high pressure or toxic liquid.Because the external dimensions of the tank container also conform to the container designed standards,it can be circulated freely in the global container logistics system.The current demand of tank containers is very huge.If the safety and stability of the tank containers can be guaranteed,the increase of loading capacity of the tank containers in a single transportation can bring greater economic benefits.This thesis takes tank container as the research object.Based on a standard 20-foot tank container,structural innovation was conducted,and obtained a structure that significantly increased the volume of the tank.Through static strength check,the safety of this structure was verified.Then,the multi-objective optimization of the new structure was carried out using the finite element method.Under the condition that the safety of the tank container was guaranteed,the optimal structure was found within the specified parameters’ range.Liquid sloshing analysis was performed on the new designed tank container.The dynamic response differences of the tank container under the same direction load or vertical load,acceleration or deceleration were compared.The liquid sloshing results were obtained under different working conditions(different liquid filling ratio,different braking acceleration,different filling medium,with or no baffles).Results showed that all the above factors had a great impact on the operation of the new designed tank container.Based on the results of the liquid sloshing analysis,a fluid-structure interaction analysis was performed on the new designed tank container,and it was found that the maximum stress occurred at the connection of the front frames.The structure and material safety were checked,and the results showed that all parts of the new designed tank container were qualified.After comparing the new designed tank container with a traditional tank container,it is found that the liquid impact force of the new designed tank container is significantly smaller than that of the traditional tank container,and the volume of the new designed tank container increased by 11.8%.
