Research On Cultural Expression Of Environmental Sculpture In University Campus Landscape Design

With the accelerating pace of China’s higher education reform,the construction of university campus landscape is becoming more and more patterned,which leads to the lack of certain cultural connotation of university campus landscape,mainly reflected in the lack of overall space layout,serious lack of cultural connotation and lack of personality characteristics of university campus environmental sculpture.From the perspective of cultural expression of environmental sculpture in university campus,this paper takes the cultural expression of environmental sculpture in university campus landscape design as the research object,and discusses how to carry out the cultural expression of environmental sculpture in university campus landscape design.From the perspective of theory and practice,this paper studies the cultural expression of environmental sculpture in accordance with the overall layout of campus landscape planning,and obtains a set of feasible construction methods of campus environmental sculpture,so as to improve the historical sense of campus landscape and the lack of cultural connotation,and make the environmental sculpture design in line with the overall planning of campus landscape,Campus landscape construction is closely related to campus culture.Through literature review,this paper summarizes the research status of university campus environmental sculpture at home and abroad,expounds the related concepts of university campus landscape,environmental sculpture and cultural expression,and completes the theoretical research.Based on the field investigation of some comprehensive and characteristic campus environmental sculptures in China,this paper makes a comparative study on the spatial layout,theme selection and individual qualityof environmental sculptures,and summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of these campus environmental sculptures in the construction.Based on the above,the paper puts forward the design principles and methods of cultural expression of environmental sculpture,five principles of "theme,systematicness,ecology,education and characteristics",and the relationship between environmental sculpture design and terrain,plants,water body,pavement and architecture.It also puts forward the design methods of cultural expression of environmental sculpture from three aspects of "space layout,theme selection and individual control".Finally,the theoretical research results are applied to the cultural landscape planning and design of Chang’an campus of Northwestern Polytechnic University.This research enriches the interdisciplinary theoretical research,provides theoretical support for the cultural expression of environmental sculpture in university campus landscape design,and provides effective experience for the scientific construction of campus cultural landscape and cultural expression design of environmental sculpture.
