With the continuous advancement of urbanization in China,the urban development mode has gradually shifted from the simple expansion and increment stage to the peopleoriented,refined and humanized quality development stage.The core strategy of urban renewal is also gradually shifting from external expansion to inventory renewal of built space.In such an era background,spaces in the urban built-up area which are poorly used,often neglected and left behind has attracted more and more attention as an important part of urban renewal.The Fragmentary Leftover Space(FLS)is a branch type of these leftover spaces with diversified potential.FLS is a fragmented and scattered small external public space in urban built-up areas that has not been effectively or fully utilized due to various external reasons.It is the objective product of the interaction between urban development process and physical environment conditions,and it is also a category that needs to be deeply plowed and excavated in urban renewal practice.Due to its wide distribution,small and changeable spatial forms,the spare space has unique development potential and utilization value when facing the increasingly diversified urban demand growth.On the other hand,the development of urban rail in China in recent years makes the rail transit system and urban space increasingly closely related.People begin to pay more and more attention to the construction of urban public space associated with rail transit stations.The Influenced Realm around urban rail transit station(IR)has become a typical category to explore the complex functional requirements and spatial quality of public space in the process of urban development.Therefore,this article selects the IR as the research areas of focus,and will also take the security problems caused by passenger flow fluctuation and explosion in the IR as the starting point of the study.By combining the model of "typical research area" and "typical problem",this paper analyzes the value and the utilization strategy of the FLS,and hope that this study will serve as an early example for future research into FLS.The first part of this paper is the background of the research.This part briefly introduces the trend of attention to refinement and leftover space in urban renewal research,and briefly introduces the basic concepts involved in this study and the relevant research status at home and abroad.The second part of this paper is the analysis of the research object.In this part the basic concepts and characteristics of FLS---the core research object---are explained,and the related research and approximate concepts at home and abroad are summarized and analyzed.Based on the above content,this paper takes the influence domain of rail transit stations as the starting point and explores the types and values of the residual space in the influence domain with field research,laying a foundation for the subsequent research.The third part of this paper is the analysis of the research problem.This chapter analyzes the origin,types and characteristics of passenger flow fluctuation and sudden increase in the Influenced Realm around urban rail transit station,and summarizes the passenger behavior pattern and characteristics based on walking behavior.At the same time,combined with the research of the author’s supervisor’s studio team,a passenger flow safety evaluation method with "Spatial Pressure" as an indicator was constructed.And put forward the basic strategy of space construction to deal with the problem of passenger flow pressure.Chapter four is the analysis of key elements.Emphasis is laid on how FLS assists in releasing pressure,and its effect in releasing pressure is analyzed mainly through software simulation.In the fifth part of this paper,specific space utilization strategies are put forward according to the existing research results,and the Niujiaotuo station in Chongqing is taken as an example for experimental design and application.Finally,the sixth chapter is the summary and prospect--according to the research content of this paper,the main conclusions are summarized,the reasonability and shortcomings are briefly analyzed,and the innovation points and possible future research prospects of this paper are put forward. |
