In order to solve the problems of food security,energy crisis and water shortage caused by rapid population growth and urbanization expansion,the relationship between water,energy and food has been proposed as a new concept of resource management,which has been widely concerned by all walks of life in the world.Based on the scientific analysis of the relationship among water resources,energy and grain,this study takes the Beijing Tianjin Hebei Urban Agglomeration as an example to quantitatively analyze the coupling and coordinated development level and competitive relationship of water energy grain system in Beijing Tianjin Hebei,aiming to provide decision-making basis and scientific support for policy makers to deal with the harmonious competitive relationship among water resources,energy and grain system in the process of urbanization,so as to provide reference for urban water resources and energy development This paper provides a theoretical basis for the management and utilization of food resources and food security and the coordination of green sustainable development.The results show that:(1)The coordinated development level of water energy grain system in Beijing Tianjin Hebei Urban Agglomeration is analyzed quantitatively.From the comprehensive evaluation index of Beijing Tianjin Hebei water energy grain system,it can be seen that the comprehensive evaluation index of Beijing Tianjin Hebei shows an increasing stage from 2003 to2005,an unstable stage from 2005 to 2014,and an unstable stage from2014 to 2017.Due to the integration of Beijing Tianjin Hebei,the development of each city tends to be stable,which makes the subsystems and water energy food system have a good development trend and gradually stable.From 2003 to 2017,the coupling degree of water energy grain system and its subsystems in Beijing Tianjin Hebei Urban Agglomeration is greater than 0.8,which is in a high coupling stage and shows a good development trend,indicating that the correlation degree between the subsystems is good.The coupling coordination degree of water energy grain system in all cities shows a continuous growth trend,and the development trend is good.Only in Tianjin,the coupling coordination degree shows a decreasing trend,and most cities reach intermediate coordination,but not high-quality coordination.Through the development law of Beijing Tianjin Hebei Urban Agglomeration,it shows that the coordinated development space and growth rate of urban water energy grain system are large.(2)Quantitative analysis of the competitive relationship of water energy grain link.From the results of water footprint calculation,the water footprint of grain production in Beijing Tianjin Hebei region decreased from 30.984 billion m~3to 21.236 billion m~3from 2003 to 2017,in which the blue water footprint decreased from 13.032 billion m~3to9.854 billion m~3,and the water footprint of energy production increased from 578 million m~3to 1.175 billion m~3.The water footprint of grain consumption in cities continues to grow,and the competitive relationship of Beijing Tianjin Hebei region gradually increases from the north to the south.According to the development trend of urban agglomeration,the pressure of urban water resources in Beijing Tianjin Hebei region will be increasing.Since the implementation of regional integration in 2014,the competitive relationship has slowed down.It can be seen that the development of cities alone is not enough to cope with the future water crisis.Therefore,how to deal with the shortage of water resources in the process of urbanization,improve the utilization efficiency of water resources,and solve the problems of food security and energy sustainability,It is urgent to put forward feasible suggestions to realize the integrated development of Beijing Tianjin Hebei.(3)According to the coordinated development level and competitive relationship of Beijing Tianjin Hebei Urban Agglomeration,this paper puts forward some suggestions for future development.In order to deal with the shortage of water resources in the process of urbanization,improve the utilization efficiency of water resources,solve the problems of food security and energy sustainability,and realize the integrated development of Beijing Tianjin Hebei,this paper divides its urban agglomeration to form an organic and unified regional system.The first is water energy grain consumption leading cities,including Beijing,Tianjin and Zhangjiakou.The second is the leading cities of grain and energy production,including Handan,Xingtai,Baoding,Hengshui and Cangzhou.The third kind of cities are water resources advantage cities,such as Qinhuangdao,Chengde and Langfang.According to different regional cities,different measures should be taken to alleviate the pressure of water resources.
