In recent years,as the large-scale commercial complexes especially underground commercial buildings are developed and utilized,high requirements for the safe evacuation under fire disaster and other emergency circumstances have been put forward,and how to evacuate the personnel on the spot safely and quickly from the building in case of fire disaster has been the hotspot and emphasis of the foreign and domestic researches in the fields of building science and public security.Due to the characteristics such as closed space and complex structure of the underground commercial buildings,higher damage level and hard fire fighting are brought.According to the existing cases and researches,current fire-fighting evacuation signs have not realized the expected evacuation goals.This paper evaluates the visual induction effects of evacuation signs with different dynamic characteristics by researching the fire-affected people’s perception and understanding of guidance information on evacuation signs and emergency response to dynamic evacuation signs.Gibson’s Theory of Affordances provides the theoretical basis for humans to perceive the usage of entities and articles and offer a theoretical framework for the analysis of fire-affected people’s perception,understanding and usage of fire-fighting evacuation signs under fire disaster and other emergency circumstances.According to the Theory of Affordances,the changes in color and luminance,sound and other dynamic characteristics can be used to enhance the sensory intensity of evacuation signs and improve the ability of specifically and clearly conveying and guiding information of evacuation signs,so as to increase the evacuation and guidance abilities of dynamic signs.Using literature research,theoretical analysis,questionnaire survey,actual investigation,data analysis,experimental measurement,system implementation and other research methods,this paper researches the visual induction effect of evacuation signs with the dynamic characteristics of strobe flash and high light.Based on the Theory of Affordances,the visual induction of evacuation signs and people’ perceptive behaviors are evaluated by the method of “questionnaire survey + actual investigation +experimental measurement” and the progressive,mutually supported and mutually verified investigations and experiments.This paper conducts the correlation analysis of the investigation results,makes verification with Chi-squared Test and evaluates the visual induction effect of evacuation signs by AHP.It is argued that the most prominent evacuation sign is black in background and green in characters among various fire-fighting evacuation signs;evacuation signs clear in the expression of passing through or going forward are character signs,while evacuation signs with an arrow and clear in the expression of restriction or stop are green signs with a red cross.By comparing with high light,the characteristic of strobe flash can attract the attention of the fire-affected people and correctly convey the dynamic guidance information of fire-fighting evacuation signs.In case of the frequency of 3Hz,the dynamic evacuation signs of strobe flash can realize the optimal visual induction effect.On basis of questionnaire survey and actual investigation,the experiment in the visual induction of personnel emergency response to dynamic evacuation signs is conducted to test the emergency response duration that people feel and perceive the characteristics of high light and strobe flash of dynamic evacuation signs.According to the result,when the underground commercial buildings are equipped with fire-fighting evacuation signs,optimal induction effect can be realized if the evacuation signs hung over the evacuation accesses use the dynamic characteristic of strobe flash,and the evacuation signs at low positions on both sides of the evacuation access use the dynamic characteristic of high light.The investigation and experiment results provide the basis for the setting of fire-fighting dynamic evacuation signs under different environments and scenes.
