With the deep application of digital design and manufacturing technology in the product development process,it is particularly important to construct a unified product digital model for the entire life cycle of the product.Model Based Definition(MBD)technology is the latest development of Digital Product Definition(DPD)technology.It is committed to establishing a full three-dimensional model of a product and providing a unique data source for product development.At present,MBD technology has been successfully applied in the development process of complex products such as aviation,aerospace,ships,etc,and has also received extensive attention in other mechanical product manufacturing fields.However,how to adopt a standardized three-dimensional model-based digital product definition method,and forming a good connection with traditional product definition methods has become a common problem faced by related industries.The subject takes typical valve products as the research object,conducts in-depth research on model-based digital product definition technology,formulates model-based valve product design expression specifications,and gives valve product MBD technology application programs and cases based on typical software platforms,The main research contents are as follows:By analyzing the current mainstream design expressions of valve products,the problem of inconsistent data sources in the design and manufacturing process of valve products caused by the product definition method with two-dimensional engineering drawings as the mainstay and three-dimensional model as the supplement and its adverse effects are summarized.In response to the above problems,firstly,based on the definition of the national standard MBD data set,the valve product MBD data set and its detailed structure are defined,and the MBD technology application program under the general three-dimensional software platform(CATIA,UG NX,Creo)is given,and the application examples of valve product MBD model in parametric design,process planning and tooling design.Secondly,through the analysis of international,national and related industry three-dimensional modeling standards,according to valve product design and structural characteristics,a model-based valve product design expression specification was formulated,including the general requirements for MBD data sets,coordinate system requirements,and parts modeling and annotation requirements,etc.The standardized organization and expression of the above information is realized by capturing the view.Finally,according to the specification,based on the CATIA software platform,taking the typical product of the valve three-eccentric butterfly valve as an example,the MBD modeling representation of the assembly,sub-components,and parts is given.Model-based valve product digital definition technology is committed to fully,clearly and visually presenting product design and manufacturing information expressed in two-dimensional engineering drawings in a three-dimensional environment,at the same time,building a unique data source for the entire life cycle of a product is of great significance for reducing the product data transmission cycle and improving the efficiency of product development.
