| According to statistics, since 2016,there have been more than 400,000 new blind people in China every year, and the total number of visually impaired people is more than17.31 million, and the group of visually impaired school-age children has reached 4million.Nowadays,boarding management mode are often adopted for blind children in China.Due to physiological obstacles, blind children will encounter many inconveniences and difficulties in self life and learning.Paying attention to the sufferings of vulnerable group reflects the degree of social civilization, and it is also the responsibility of designers to help the disadvantaged group.Based on the blind children, this paper conducts related theoretical researches on their physiology and psychology, conducts on-site investigations of their daily life and their behavior of taking water in a specific environment, and collects relevant data,so as to seek for obstacles and problems in the process of receiving water.Based on the perception theory and general design theory, this paper studies the characteristics of blind children’s sense organs such as touch and hearing, analyzes the defects of the existing water dispensers for blind children, and comprehensively analyzes the guidance, perception, judgment and other aspects. The function of the drinking fountain is improved through the form, texture, sound and other elements to adapt to the behavioral habits of blind children, relieve psychological anxiety, and ensure the safety and effectiveness in the operation process.Based on the relevant theoretical research and the analysis of the problems, this paper attempts to summarize some targeted design principles and verify them through design practice. |
