Research On The Shift Share Of Energy Consumption And Carbon Emissions In Jiangsu Province

Fossil energy plays an important role in every social progress and economic acceleration,but the excessive use of energy leads to the continuous increase of carbon emissions,causing serious pollution and damage to the environment.In this situation,how to reduce carbon emissions and achieve carbon neutrality to promote green development has become a global consensus.The social development of Jiangsu still cannot get rid of its dependence on fossil energy consumption,and the massive emission of greenhouse gases has also exacerbated the greenhouse effect.Therefore,how to reduce or efficiently use traditional energy,increase the proportion of clean energy,and reduce carbon emissions is a problem that Jiangsu and even the whole country must solve.Therefore,studying the dynamic changes of Jiangsu’s energy consumption and carbon emissions is of great significance for accelerating the new development process of "Strong,Rich,Beautiful,High".In order to speed up this process,while quantitatively analyzing the economic development,energy consumption and carbon emissions of Jiangsu Province,this article collects and collates relevant data from2000-2018 in the China Energy Yearbook and Jiangsu Statistical Yearbook,and uses it on this basis.Static and dynamic deviation share models are used to calculate data and analyze and study the energy consumption and carbon emissions of industrial enterprises above designated size in Jiangsu as a whole,sub-sectors and various cities.The empirical study found that under the existing fossil energy consumption system,energy consumption will cause carbon emissions and is irreversible;the two are two aspects of the external manifestation of fossil fuels,and the results show that the two are also opposites relationship.Industry analysis shows that industry structure is the main influencing factor of energy consumption growth,followed by competitiveness factors;the impact on the development of dynamic changes in energy consumption and carbon emissions,from large to small,is industry,living consumption,transportation,storage,post and telecommunications,Others,wholesale and retail trade,catering,construction,agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry,fishery and water conservancy.Researches on industrial enterprises above designated size in various cities have shown that energy consumption and carbon emissions in southern,central and northern Jiangsu continue to rise,while the growth rate of energy consumption shows a pattern of northern Jiangsu> southern Jiangsu>central Jiangsu.The future should focus on northern Jiangsu.Finally,it is proposed that Jiangsu can start from four aspects: optimizing energy structure,optimizing industry development structure,enhancing corporate competitiveness,and adjusting and improving policies to achieve highquality development in Jiangsu and expand the space for low-carbon social development.
