| Electrospray ionization(ESI)is one of the most widely used techniques in atmospheric pressure ionization(API),and is widely used in the analysis of non-polar,thermally unstable compounds.This paper relies on the special scientific research project “Medical Mass Spectrometer Engineering Technology Development and Application” of Tianjin Institute of Engineering Technology,Suzhou Institute of Medical Technology,Chinese Academy of Sciences,to study the functional modules of electrospray ion source,and complete the theoretical research to prototype design and production to experimental verification.The main research contents are as follows:Firstly,based on the principle and theory of electrospray ion source,the influence of main parameter variables such as ionization voltage,solution flow rate,auxiliary gas and temperature on the performance of ion source is studied,which lays a theoretical foundation for the modular design of ion source.The functional modules of the electrospray ion source are analyzed.The whole work of the electrospray ion source is divided into two parts: the structural part,the circuit and the gas path part.The structural part main Ly belongs to the spray needle module,the auxiliary heating module and the spray needle position tuning module and the auxiliary support module were designed and manufactured,and the material and processing technology of the key components are studied.The ionizing optical simulation software Simion simulated the traction electrode which has an important influence on the ion sampling efficiency,and optimized the spatial position of the traction electrode.Research on ion source high voltage module and gas path control module,analyze design requirements,propose design schemes and design indicators,focus on solving high voltage power supply stability,precise control of gas flow,etc.;complete the design and production of ion source feed module,Based on the Venturi vacuum generator’s source exhaust system design,the exhaust scheme was fabricated and debugged,and the electrospray ion source control system was developed using LabVIEW and STM32F103 chips.Finally,the ion source prototype designed and manufactured by ourselves was installed on the platform of triple quadrupole mass spectrometer.The theoretical research content and traction electrode design were experimentally verified by using polypropylene glycol solution.The ion source temperature,auxiliary gas and atomizing gas at different flow rates were optimized to improve the sensitivity of the whole machine. |
