Three-level matrix converter(TLMC)is a complex flexible power electronic component.It is a power conversion device based on bidirectional switching technology and using pulse width modulation method to obtain the desired output voltage.Because TLMC breaks the limitation of voltage transmission ratio equal to or less than 0.866,it can both increase and decrease the voltage,realize multi-level operation,reduce switching losses,reduce the distortion rate of the output voltage waveform,and low common mode voltage,and more suitable for high voltage and high power fields.Therefore,the study of TLMC will become a hot topic for scholars in the field of power transformation.However,in practical applications,there are still many deficiencies and areas that need to be optimized for TLMC.This article takes TLMC as the research object,and proposes some innovative solutions to the problems that hinder its better use.It can be better put into application.This paper first introduces the topological structure and working principle of the three-level matrix converter,and conducts in-depth research and analysis on the mathematical model and implementation principle of its indirect space vector modulation strategy.Aiming at the shortcomings of selecting the switching vector action order of the space vector pulse width modulation of the traditional three-level matrix converter,and the large amount of calculation of the algorithm,a simplified space vector modulation applied to the three-level indirect matrix converter is proposed.The strategy reduces the calculation amount of the algorithm compared to the original,reduces the harmonic distortion rate of the output current and voltage,and reduces the common mode voltage.Aiming at the three-level matrix converter of indirect space vector modulation,a feedforward compensation control strategy is proposed under the condition of unbalanced input voltage to improve its output performance.A simulation model was built on the Matlab/Simulink platform to carry out simulation experiments on the proposed design ideas,and the results verified the feasibility of the design ideas.Finally,the experimental prototype of the three-level matrix converter was researched and constructed,and an experimental platform composed of DSP and multiple groups of CPLDs was designed.Prototype experiments were performed on the main circuit and control system of the matrix converter.The experimental results verified the correctness of the design idea.
